Robles close to join deportivo in Spain...just a few details to discuss...could be loan with an enforce option to buy at the end of season even though not sure how it would work with having one more year left at Everton...

It wouldn't be a loan with option to buy as he'd be out of contract at the end of the season, unless it's like what we did for Barry ofc, which is a set fee if they take him on they'd have to pay...

bit weird if we did that though as he has a resale value and should be sold if he's moving

I know...not sure deportivo has the cash unless he ends up very very cheap...expecting this one to go through IF Everton and depor can agree sale/loan/loan with force to buy at the end...another option maybe is for Everton to keep a percentage of the player and/or an option to buy back

Again, he's out of contract at the end of the season.

This is all in the Echo.

Cant see point in loan apart from saving nominal wages. Hes a good back up keeper. Might as well keep him and gives us time to find a replacement.

He doesn't want to stay as 2nd choice and Stek is trusted so not sure Koeman is arsed if he's sold or loaned.
Fully understand that mate, but it isn't always about what the player wants. Makes no sense to send him out on loan when he's at end of contract when it finishes. IMO he's a better and safer back up than Stek and is on nominal wages as he won't sign a new contract.

If somebody wants to come in and buy him fair enough. But don't see any point in us loaning him out. He'll still give his all when he plays as he's that type of player. Plus he'll be playing for a contract from someone at the end of it.

He's better than Stek, yeh, but isn't an option really. And I don't think it would just be a loan. If it was it would be loan with obligation to buy. Gives Deportivo 12 months to fund it. Lots of teams do those deals abroad.

How does that fit in with him being out of contract?. Once July 1st comes he's technically a free agent isn't he?.

One thing that is interesting to see is that the Media have gone back to 'plucky little everton mode'. We are now being linked with players who are not of the standing required to make it a top 7. This is just horse shine.

Today's laughable link is ...... Steven Caulker.

Total rubbish. Whilst we cannot expect to compete at the very top level right now (Aguro etc) we should be able to attract the very best players from those teams that are in the batch below us, or pick up fringe / unsettled players from those teams above us. Swansea will have to fight hard to keep Iceland. Links to Arsenal players make sense.

The Media love us being also rans. I would be great to pick up 2 or 3 real good signings before the window closes. Iceland, Giroud and a quality CB would do me.

Then watch us me Media Mogul. Watch us start to bridge the gap. Watch us progress. You will hate it.
