Ben Davies at Spurs would be a good choice, as mentioned elsewhere on GOT, he knows Ashley's game, can play LB or CB if needed. He is second choice behind Rose, when he comes back. IMO he could be first choice LB with us. If we can do a deal involving Ross , that would be good or a stand alone bid may be worth our while.
Only seen him play a few times, but he's seemed pretty average to me

Well according to Davek that would still be infinitely better than Baines.

Hope we get a left back in but not sure we are going to if the talk of only 2 or 3 more in is correct as surely Giroud and Gylfi will be 2 of them and a centre half the other.

Google, Toulon Tournament 2017
Thanks mate, completely by passed me that competition. Some cracking views on him and player of the tournament is an excellent accolade.

I'm loving this you know, taking each squad as seriously as the next. Roll on the class of 2021 haha!

Last season average per game:

Tackles won :
Baines 1.56 Robertson 1.09

Blocks made:
Baines 0.19 Robertson 0.45

Clearances made:
Baines 2.59 Robertson 2.88

Interceptions:
Baines 1.37 Robertson 1.79

Aerial Duels Won:
Baines 40.35 Robertson 47.62

Squawka.

...so the answer to your question is 'everything defensively except tackles won'.

Using Squawka then as it's your choice of compassion site mate

Ahh fair enough Dave, you did however choose a weird stat to show aerial ability though i noticed, showing the % won rather than the amount per game like with other stats you showed, that would have Baines coming out massively ahread of Robertson rather than behind him, 0.73 compared to 0.3 per game

You left out Defence score as well which is an amalgam of all stats which factor in other things.

Baines 7.84, Robertson 3.02

Baines comes out a mile ahead in all their category ratings as well, Offensive, Defensive, Possession and overall score

Live by the stats die by the stats mate ;)

I can only repeat with a better midfield and a forward who can control the ball I expect Baines to improve again in that aspect. He's technically proficient, he views the pitch well (as from full back you should) he really can pick consistent probing passes.
I doint see room for progress with Baines. His powers are diminishing. Which is only natural.

He's a bench warmer on any other team with CL pretensions.

Moreno had ample opportunities surging forward- didn't make him a good defender. Think he will get dominated aerially and physically. Good signing for a mid table to top 7 team.
23 years of age with 200 appearances behind him; now he's just been picked up by a CL playing team and he'll pretty quickly get his chance and take it.

Manchester City have agreed a £52m deal for Monaco defender Benjamin Mendy. £45m paid by City for right-back Kyle Walker .

£97,000,000 on 2 defenders!!!!!!!!!!

I think we should have been in for the lad from hull who the rs have just bought, hopefully he has someone else lined up.

He will sit on the bench for the vats majority of games this season and a converted 31yo centre mid will play ahead of him in actuality mate

..I think that's a long way off reality. I doubt very much that RK feels he needs to keep Baines onside.

...makes waves. We know this to be true.

Regardless of all that though it's a serious omission so far from this manager to fail to get another LB in. It's not as if he hasn't known for a whole season plus a summer we need one.

I think he's bit dim in that respect. Too much obsessing on players for the centre of the park whilst the periphery of the team falls to pieces.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I think he's clueless at putting a team together.
