Summer Transfer Window 2017

Well firstly, unless you've had one of those pints with Koeman that you're fond of mentioning, you've no idea whether we'd be interested in certain players or not have you? I mean, reports have suggested that our back up plan to Sigurdsson is Seri, who is a totally different type of player. Similarly last year we seemingly looked at Mata and Witsel for a long time before plumping for a move for Sissoko, again a totally different player. It seems possible then, that we may have interest in different types of forwards if we can't get our first choice.

Secondly, I don't see any difference in the examples you use. Us talking about these things doesn't change what is going to happen in reality, so why bother giving opinions at all? People aren't 'putting forward' names in the hope that Steve Walsh will log on and go 'YES! Why didn't I think of that!', they're just giving their thoughts on who they'd like to see in the side, same as people are doing with the other topics.
We went after Sissoko in a panic when it was obvious Mata etc wouldn't sign for us
So far this summer we have only been linked with players who realistically we could sign
If you listen to Koemans interviews he is quite clear in the type , position and age profile of the players he is interested in
So why link and YouTube up players that do not fit the managers stated preference.

Laughing at you hauling someone else up on 'inconsistency' over net spend.

Quite clearly I stated that was about 'consistently' 'propelling yourself into the mix as serious players'. That's what would need to do that: massive net spends.

All I'm asking for is top five....not much to ask when the manager will have spent £150M in the summer....or maybe you think we should expect f.a. from that spending?

I expect us to sign 4 more players, then im expecting us to give the 4 trophies we enter a damn good showing.

I have no "demands", just expectation.

But you said we havent actually spent anything this summer. Im so confused Davek... ohhhhhhhh, I get it, it fits your agenda now.

No he didnt, thats contradicting what you have been squealing about all summer, that we havent actually spent anything. Are you calling yourself out?
No. It's entirely consistent: net spend goes to the owner's door; if gross spend is massive the manager is to be judged.

Quite clearly I stated that was about 'consistently' 'propelling yourself into the mix as serious players'. That's what would be needed to do that: a couple of massive net spends.

What about the other clubs spending even more? I suppose Spurs aren't but they were miles ahead to begin with. Does other clubs spending not count?

His predecessor did more with a lot less cash than this feller.

If he's going to spend £150M this summer there isn't anyone going to be offering him tea and sympathy if we finish 6th or 7th. That is not going to happen when the two previous managers secured better whilst spending the grand total of about 10 bob.

He's had his big spend. Now he needs to get the results.

Personally I dont see him doing it.

Where has he spent £150m ? Right now Koeman has still to spend the Lakuku money, so by your reckoning Koeman has nothing to worry about, because he still has £150m to spend. And surely the regular CL teams will be classed as bigger failures than Everton if they fail to qualify for Champions league football. Wow you've moved the goalposts yet again again.

So you agree that RK has improved on his rapidly deteriorating predecessor by improving our league position then ?

Great ;)

RK only spent big money this summer and also you will recall RM had money to spend but spent most on rubbish apart from Rom who was £28m

Sos I missed the word "if" in your post, so IF he doesn't spend £150m it will be Moshiri's fault won't it and you win again Dave, hahaha. Decided I love you again Dave, ( in a totally heterosexual way of course  ) err you always cover both sides of a debate quite brilliantly ;) sorry Toffeslam I was replying to Davek there and mistakenly quoted your post.
