next year I think we will most likely have zero chance of getting him.

If we bought him we would have 4 strikers & I couldn't imagine us finishing lower than 7th we would then next year potentially have him completely ready for premier league football along with Sandro & Calvert Lewin.

Clearly it's not ideal to have 3 young strikers but at what point do
We run out of viable targets & take a chance it's a risk but the reward could be massive.

Been saying the same since December...need a centre back alongside Keane with some pace...either a Sanchez type or a ball player but either way needs pace so we can play a high line.

Problem is I think Vermaelen is injured now and we seem to still be in for him.

Would prefer Gibson myself as he seems a tidy young player with premier league experience.

How is that a conundrum? If you have a chance to get a talent you believe will become an elite striker, you do it, no questions asked.

To be fair 'out injured until September' is a rather dramatic way of putting it when it's the 14th of August.

I quite like the look of Dembele personally. Yes he's only in Scotland but he looks like a good player if you know what I mean. People compare his scoring record to Sinclair etc, but it's not his stats I'm interested in it's the fact he seems to have a lot of ability, and therefore a pretty high ceiling.

True, but it's not like he's fit and ready to come in straight away.

And yes, he does look like a good player. He didn't tear the Championship up though, but yes I agree he has a lot of talent.

But is he the type of striker we need? I'd be happy if we got him, but he's not a 'target man' type which is what it seems we're after.
