Summer Transfer Window 2017

His logic is horrible, he will probably say in summer 'letz sign Rooney he will giv us da winnin mentality we need hes betta than wha we got'

Yet Naismith is better than Kone should we sign him? probably BlueToff doesn't have clue about football like majority on here that's why Steve walsh will blow tens of millions on crap and get away with it because 'he signed Vardy'

Sorry to rant but can't believe he implied Steklen was good signing because played for roma LOL

mate, steve walsh was the main reason leicester provided the biggest shock in probably sporting history. He's one of the top in his profession, you on the other hand, if i'm not mistaken are not a football scout or director of football at a premier league club. Excuse me, but i think i'll trust his opinion a hell of a lot more than him, try not bashing him in every post before he's even had a chance to shine here, it's akin to davek bashing koeman every single post.

I think we are expecting too much.
Yes we need players , but are we attractive enough to entice the big players.
I feel we need to be realistic in what is actually gonna happen.
We'll only realistically be able to compete with more high profile clubs if we can afford to pay higher wages than them.
It's early days but apparently we've already lost a target to Arsenal who offered bigger wages. No difference to last summer there.
VVD therefore seems very unrealistic. Keane is much more attainable but he's winning plaudits so if a CL club comes in it's goodbye to that dream also. We may well end up with a Mcguire level player in that position so some are in for a dissappointment.

Mid table players, their alumni flatters to deceive, you going to make a case to sign Adebayor as he played for real madrid?

No.

Williams has improved us. End of. The stats back that up/

Stekelenburg isn't good enough to be our first choice (neither is Robles) and we should definitely get a keeper in the summer.

But Stek wasn't brought in to be the number one initially.

Happy for Holgate to fill in personally with Kenny or Connolly as backup. Martina is a nothing player and I'd hate to see him come in and hold up the development of the likes of Kenny.

Zabaleta is also out of contract in the summer. Now him coming in for a season to cover for Seamus is a different matter.

Never even thought of Zabaleta! He'd be good but pricey in wages, think I'd rather give good wages to a more younger player that's gonna be around for a bit longer. Holgate is doing a job but he's no RB though. Martina just seems an obvious one because Koeman knows him, wanted him and he wouldn't be expensive.

I remember when we were linked with cech, hazard, essien and the like under moyes before they went into the big time.

Some players like Tielemans it would have been a no brainer to sign 2 years ago when I mentioned him here and we supposedly have scouts scouring the globe so you would hope Walsh commenting that he wants to bring in the best young talent is true.

Absolute 1st signing I would be making would be Ryan Sessegnon and negotiate a deal now with fulham if they go up or not.

2nd would be the new lukaku, tammy Abraham

3rd would be Youri Tielemans who I imagine wont be in a hurry.

3 absolute superstars there.

I hope we go for a top young keeper as well from somewhere who costs actual money.

I'd agree with that mate. Why do you think we haven't looked to do so already?

Stats in football genuinely mean nothing to me. People are blinded by them all too easily and they don't tell a true story.

Mean nothing to me, and you'd of seen that at the end of that post your quoting. Like I said, the "stats" that interest me is how many goals and assists those players get and in roughly the same amount of games Sigurdsson as got 20 more goals than Barkley and 11-12 more assists aswell, and that's mainly for a worser team in Swansea.
