Summer Transfer Window 2017

.....with just 3 days and 16 hours of the window to get any transfer business done, here's what's in the papers this Monday morning;

- Ronald Koeman says Kevin Mirallas has been omitted from the Everton squad at Chelsea because of an attitude problem but Belgian outlet, Het Latste Nieuws, report the Toffees are currently unwilling to let the player leave on a permanent or loan deal. Greek giants, Olympiacos, have approached Everton about a loan signing for the winger.

- In his post-match interview last night, Koeman said: "We need at least 2 more players. A striker is most important". When asked about Diego Costa, the Toffees boss was coy; "I don't know (about Costa). We are looking at players who are available and if we sign somebody, it is somebody who makes the team better".

- Koeman is also reported to have said Ross Barkley is unlikely to join Spurs or Chelsea in the final days of the window because Everton have received no offers.

- According to Portugese newspaper, A Bola, Everton had a scout in attendance to watch forward Raul Jimenez in Benfica's recent 1-1 draw with Rio Ave. Jimenez only came off the bench with 15mins to go.

- The Daily Mail report Everton have slapped an £8m price tag on striker Oumar Niasse amidst interest from Brighton.

- Anderlecht President has told DK News that he would let Everton target Leander Dendoncker leave if an offer of £18m is received.

- NinetyMinutesonLine say Everton and West Brom are preparing an offer for Watford striker, Troy Deeney.

- The Daily Mirror suggest Everton are looking to hijack Chelsea's £40m move for Leicester striker Jamie Vardy.

I think we actually have the money to spend, the problem is finding quality players willing to play for a mid table Premier league team based in northwest England.

Our awful performance against chelsea yesterday will not help to attract players this week either.
I think this is an underrated point, and not just because I said the same thing a few weeks ago!

They need to find players who would come here, are available, and are better than what we've got. It's not that big a pool.

I don't think we can argue with a 40m net spend especially wen you consider the money spent in Jan. In my eyes we have wasted money. Klassen offers us nothing so should not have been bought and although he has had a decent start Rooney is a massive investment in wages. We have also had to overspend on Gilfi.

My fears about are squad are starting to be realised. We are so one paced. When we played against top sides in the last couple of years and we were out of possession Rom and Ross with his drive gave us a threat on the counter. The current team has nothing so these teams can commit more and more men forward without any fear of us being able to break. We are completely 1 dimensional.

The money invested in Klassen and Rooney should have been spent on pacier/dynamic attacking players.
Yes, you're right, Ron has no idea what he's doing and should be sacked immediately. Everyone knows that when a lot of players join a club in a short space of time the team should gel straight away and blitz allcomers. Sack him, sack Steve Walsh, get Moshiri out of the club, scrap the BMD project and let Bill run it his way again.

Would you feel better then?

We really need about 5 quality players still, someone who can play the role schneiderlin does as without we look disjointed, a top level centre back to start alongside Keane, a experienced and good target man, a striker with real pace in behind and a 'mane type' of wide forward with genuine pace.

Think we will be lucky now to get one of those in, which overall given the money spent is very disappointing...

I would take vardy maybe not for 40m though. I don't want deeney at any cost unless there is another striker coming in with him
