Sounds like Brands has been a fan for a while. Not going to pretend to be an expert and say I know him inside out, but he sounds ideal.

We need a replacement for Gueye, but we also need a centre back and right back. Sounds like this fella can play all three. Such an advantage having a player in your squad that is comfortable in a few positions.

Btw if anyone is reading my posts thinking "FIFA nerd, why are they always random foreigners" then there is logic behind it:

1. Buying from outside the PL is cheaper.
2. I always feel like South American/African etc. defensive mids are just better than British; a lot of them have had to work a Hell of a lot harder to get where they are and that intensity, aggression and desire often shows in that position. Hence England hasn't produced a good defensive mid since as long as I can remember.

You're forgetting Hendooooo mate.

It's the price thing for me. You can get about 75 better players for half the price that Wham would ask for Declan Rice.

Maybe the billionaires and multi millionaires in the board room should consider giving something back to us all for a change whilst we suffer big Red parade trophies around our city.

I’ve dabbled a bit in the Bundesliga this year since my TV provider added the league. The man can play some football. Is he up to Ganas quality and trustworthiness.. I would be lying if I say he is. But he is 6-7 years younger and an absolute tank in the midfield. Lots of growing left in in but would love to see him in the Blue
