Saving money and a failure to secure targets earlier. That and trying to convince them to come are my guesses.I would like to know why we leave it late so often. Not a fan of it.

No just unproven
Aguero was proven obviously
17/18 was a good preseason, we went through it unbeaten.
We finished 8th.
There is no correlation. between preseason and how the season will go
He obviously doesn’t have to be proven but you know what you’re getting with Zaha. Pace, skill, goals and assists and can do it in the premier league. Sandro and klassen proven failures who couldn’t do it in this league. A good premier league player is going to cost a lot that’s just how it isWhy does he have to be proven?
8/10 of the best pl players came to their current clubs unproven.
It’s a very risk averse attitude... but yet you’re happy to spunk 60-80m on a player who’s not ‘proven’ playing our style of footy.
interesting. And Bill Nicholson over Chico. The morning papers showed pictures of Chico with the caption ‘Scott signs for Spurs’, At that very moment Chico was at Bellfield having his medical. Great days.
I don't mean in terms of results I mean in terms of the standard of opposition we play and the implementation of a style et al.. Working with a core and on a system. If I remember that year under Martinez we played a quality tournament in America that year and Stones emerged.17/18 was a good preseason, we went through it unbeaten.
We finished 8th.

Correct...but it is a gamble I wouldn't take at the price mentioned...prefer to pay that money and at least I know I can have a guarantee 10 goals per season player than one that might score more but also possibly less...You CAN’T tell me for sure. Nobody can. And that’s the point.
Malcom was proven at Bordeaux. That’s why Barca bought him.
No but I think there is correlation between poor starts and lots of signings in the last 7 days of the window.

10 goals 5 assists last season in the league winning most of palaces penalties as wellHaven't seen much of Zaha. Only when Everton have played against. Never really stood out for me. Can you enlighten me on his goals. Assists for the last couple of seasons
Isn't the whole remit to not pay over the odds but pay large wages?
If so, if Zaha did come here, would he not cost 70m plus and want 150k plus a week?
Something tells me we are running the risk of blowing the start of the season to save on wages and showboating on transfer deadline.
