13 players that we need OUT in the next 10 days
I want them all out at the minute. And an entire new 22 in after reading this thread.

Some can reapply for their job, but they have to speak fluent Portuguese to be considered.

Apparently Juve have now said they want to be given an option to match any acceptable offers for Kean we may receive in future.

1st option if you will...

I think this is going through.

Like I've said, if we get him then it's a great signing but it's gonna be a risk relying on him to get our goals - as in definitely add another 10 to our total.

So... that's where signing Zaha - a proven PL player who is easily good enough for every team outside the top six and probably three of them in it - makes perfect sense.

if that's what the hold up was, brands telling them to jog on with a low buy back

he's done a sound job, signing we need the most a striker though so hopefully gets sorted in the next few days

This has been going around this morning. How real it is I have no idea. Fingers crossed anyway.

Personally, I think it's legit. People saying it's Photoshop because of collar, but I don't see it. Also, those are strikingly similar sleeve tattoos on his arms.

If it's a fake, it's a very, very good one, and someone has gone to a lot of trouble.

Zaha is miles better than Bolasie.

Only similarity is they played for the same team.

It's a lazy comparison isn't it? I do think Zaha could flop if he came in for anywhere near 80 million. But that's totally unlikely.

Zaha is a much better player. Bolasie was always going to fail, and was never good enough.

Nice guy, but was mainly appeasement to Lukaku.

What are you on about? you know what mate you're the master of posting nothing.

That post right there is nothing. You have not replied to a single point I made yet made out like you've just had me off lol.

So you think a) zaha won't be a focal point of our team if we sign him? And b) you think zaha is more suited to playing a long ball with a static forward percentages game then our high pressing counter attacking game?

I've watched them a hell of alot more then you sunshine, while you're watching the Iranian under 12 division or something some of us watch actual men's football.

If you will though my friend why don't you try to explain to me what was actually wrong with my statment rather then just telling me it's wrong?

You said I had 'head trauma'...what kind of person writes that on a forum.

We need goals. No guarantee Fernándes scores more in England than Zaha. This is a proper league here.

He certainly looks like he will do...we'll see.

Is almost take Zaha for 55m it

Wtf am I saying... no I wouldn’t

Hahaha

Conversely, no guarantee Zaha has a season like last, or that he suits our playing style.

Exactly...big risk.

Yeah but he's under 25 and zaha is over 25 and zat wants everyone over the age of 25 sold on their 25th birthday.

Yeah, cos i have 'head trauma'.

Not sure what Man Utd wanting him has to do with anything? That’s hardly a ringing endorsement. Their recruitment has been shocking for the last 4-5 years.

Just shows the price a top 6 side are willing to pay for one player while we are supposedly going to have to offer more...with ZERO competition for him.

Indeed you could, but he was fresh to the league, barely spoke the language, was a kid and his position changed when Silva left. He hit a massive bump in the road, and nobody is denying that

Zaha is 26, supposedly “brilliant” and in his prime and.

He’s an erratic player, always has and always will be, you can see that by some of passing. Simple passes going wayward. Don’t really care for all this flick fancy footwork crap, it doesn’t make a player.

Precisely. He's certainly no Tino Asprilla either.

How did Pienaar get on at spurs when he moved from us to them... with their better attackers and a side more focused on attacking than defending?

Problem with better attacking teams is that the opposition set up in a defensive line - which is our issue, unlocking 2 banks of 4.

How did palace and zaha get on at home where teams set up more defensively?? That’s how most teams will set up against us.

Thats exactly my point...a deep defence will just point at him and laugh.

Reading this morning that we want Zaha to be a CF, if that's true i think it's a risky idea, to sign a player for a huge amount and then play him in a position he doesn't normally play. Possibly as an interchangeable front 3 with Bernard and Richarlison, or with Malcom if we sign him. Either way, I think it's a massive risk.

I posted a few times that i thought thats where he would play...at least until Kean is used to the league, that way we can ease Kean in.

Small squad you say?

  1. £10m in 2 installments
  2. Yannick Bolasie returns home
  3. Turkish international free-scoring beaut Cenk Tosun
  4. Tireless midfielder James McCarthy
  5. Belgian wing wizard Kevin Mirallas
  6. The Prince, Oumar Niasse.
Welcome Wilf. Take a bow Marcel. £300k off our wage bill.

Haha thats the main reason id go for Zaha. To get rid of loads of our deadwood!

Why doesn’t everyone else see this? Just because he’s good (away from home) for palace doesn’t mean he will be good here, where teams set up to do what palace do. Defend deep and break.

No idea, the ones that want him seem to look down their noses at those who make points why he wont be such a guaranteed success.

Ive seen posts saying that hes only compared to bolasie not because hes a similar type from Palace...but...have a guess!

Apparently i have 'head trauma' see above.

Apparently those who watch him every single game for 3 seasons can see hes improved

I trust Brands' judgement but seems like a massive gamble to me

OK. This been proven?

Yes mate. I remember seeing that pic at work ages ago while searching for a picture for a story I was working on

If they get the same number of games i see him easily outscoring Zaha...EASILY.

I don’t agree that Zaha would be a ‘Walsh like signing’, but if you do, I’d say it’s far more like our purchase of Sigurdsson, where we had to pay top dollar to get an English club’s best player, who were duly relegated the season after his departure. A ‘Walsh like signing’ is actually paying 25 million for a player that has been bossing a terd league, like Klaassen and Tosun, but who aren’t able to hack the Premier League. I actually think the signing of centre half is top priority, but having Zaha on the left and Richarlison on the right is a really enticing prospect, and I hope we make it a reality!
