I have receipts. Anyone can search Ancelotti and your username - all you did was slate the bloke - not the right man to take Everton forward, worst football you've seen Everton play, we underachieved with him ever etc etc. Don't make me multi quote you.

Well, we're now managed by Sean Dyche and debating if 33 year old Michail Antonio can help stave off relegation. How do you like them apples? That's the reality of the situation.

It's all about staying in the league - we clearly haven't got much money so we need to balance who we bring in with a level of experience/ability that can come in the form of Ashley Young and Michail Antonio.

Ashley Young is better than Mykolenko, and we needed cover. He gives us that.
We're desperately short upfront, Michail Antonio would start for us at the moment.

Bare facts

Before we do 50 pages of fume this is not from a Guardian report but their Rumour Mill column which for about 20 years has been their little roundup of rumours from elsewhere (in this case appears to be our old friends Footy insider)

The likes of Toffee Blues know this isn’t a real Guardian story but they post it anyway for engagement.

I've been done over by an incorrectly placed posting lol

I still don't think it's true, because we don't have better commercial deals than Newcastle, Spurs or Chelsea (City, Utd, RS & Arsenal being the other 4), and that would take it up to 7 clubs.
Until Newcastle inflated their shirt deal, we have basically had the best shirt sponsorship deal outside the scab 6 for a long time. But the gap between that deal and the deals of the top 6 was like 30m. Newcastle have now taken a deal right in the middle of that which doesn’t really add up based off one good season (as ours never increased to that level with regular Europe and Leicesters didn’t when they won the league etc).

Some of these so called ITK characters are becoming slightly irksome.
We have supposedly been on the verge of signing so many players this window and , despite our chronic needs , virtually nothing has happened.
We still haven't spent a penny , and only have 2 new bodies confirmed.
A cynic would wonder whether the ITK individuals are being fed snippets by the club, to then circulate , thereby keeping us peasants pleasantly distracted ,thinking that moves are afoot.
Time is passing ,the season is upon us and , and the window is becoming shorter. Meanwhile our needs are still as pressing.
Almost time for the club to start leaking the usual "we tried" and "time ran out" platitudes through the ever reliable ITK sources. Depressing really , and another "rinse and repeat" window.

And, given all this, as of 1 hour ago at the time of the tweet, we do not have the best deal outside the top 6.
