75 year old Iniesta still on a different planet to any of them!Says something about this squad that Saudi Arabian teams haven't tried to sign any of them!

Rom deffo not the destroyer he was in his first spell with us. He’s a good finisher but he’d need plenty of service. Which he won’t get from our lot lol. Would certainly take him back since he’d be better than what we have but it’s just not happening so no point dwelling on it.
Fulham have signed Traore and are closing on CHO so that might be off the table. Palace might still be interested though.Gray will be off to Fulham before the window shuts so that helps with cash for a striker. I would rather loan Cannon as he is a natural finisher and we should be trying to develop him more. Even if he only develops to become a goal scoring option off the bench for us there is real value in that.
He would want mad wages also. People probably think he would come and play for us for free thoughYeah it’s never happening in the first place, but he’d be absolutely lost in our formation as we ask him to be a target man, hold the ball up and chase lost causes. He’s never ever been good at that, even in his prime. He’s a penalty box poacher, we have Alexander Iwobi as our main creative outlet.
Their local itk Allesandro Myersa said it might happen but it may not..Dunno if it’s been posted but Udinese’s local rag says they are considering an offer from us for Beto.

I agree it’s not happening BUT if it could happen we’d change the formation, Dyche always liked a 442 anyway so if you could remove Doucoure for Lukaku and remove Maupay for someone better at holding it up that would be lethal, but either way, if we could get him we’d find a way to make it workYeah it’s never happening in the first place, but he’d be absolutely lost in our formation as we ask him to be a target man, hold the ball up and chase lost causes. I hope that’s not true, especially if we do as we do closing out windows.Cannons time has gone now, he needs a loan.
If he couldn’t get a start over Maupay at the end of last season and start of this, Dyche won’t suddenly play him. He couldn’t even get mins at the end.
He’s looked better than Maupay in the brief training videos.
Has anyone more credible than Pete O’Rourke even linked us with Beto?Strongly feeling Beto to Fulham while we dither.

He’s not injured that often
There is no way that Rom caused more drama than goals in his time here or has a horrendous personality, the only thing he did was say he wanted to play in the champions league when he played for us and he thought he could get to elite levels which he went on to do after we got mega money for selling him
He would’ve absolutely scored doucoures one on one or one of Maupay’s chances against Fulham, no doubt in my mind
His wages would be the same as Mina’s last season I would imagine as we wouldn’t pay more for anyone
He won’t come here anyway but you were being way to harsh on him, he’s probably the best striker we’ve had in my 30 odd years watching the blues
I posted above that it was mentioned in a local paper over there but don’t know the credibility. IF they are right and Udinese are considering an offer then that suggests the offer is at least in the ballpark of acceptability.Has anyone more credible than Pete O’Rourke even linked us with Beto?
we try to save as much on wages as possible it seemsI know it’s stating the bleeding obvious but we also need to get a move on, not least because of our potentially perilous start to the campaign, but also because whoever we buy or loan from, that club needs to get a replacement. Always baffles me when we go for someone that late in the window, that the selling or loaning club has no time to get a replacement and so won’t do business with us.
Why has he been linked to them
BBC have reported interest but nothing happening presently.I posted above that it was mentioned in a local paper over there but don’t know the credibility. IF they are right and Udinese are considering an offer then that suggests the offer is at least in the ballpark of acceptability.
Bobble posted in the Harrison thread that it wasn’t as far along as O’Rourke said, although that’s not the same as saying nothing is happening.
So at the moment there’s nothing to be too excited about and it sounds like O’Rourke was heavily exaggerating. But we’ve definitely held interest so who knows.
