It’s not a phrase we like but will only know at the end of the window. If we’re putting most of our budget into Gnonto it’s crazy when a PL quality starting striker is such an obvious priority. But we have no idea what’s being worked on for that I guess.We need a striker far far more than we need any other position, and Gnonto is not a player we should be focussing on right now. He's a good player, but not the no.1 priority.
At the moment it feels like a classic Everton over-correction summer like when we bought nothing but number 10s, or even last summer when (decent as they are) we bought three defensive midfielders and only Maupay to score the goals.
