I think the most realistic target for RW is Sarr now that ive thought about it.
£26mil seems like a bargain if true. By bargain, I mean that if he was hitting those numbers for and owned by Lille or Lyon he'd be £40mil+.

The Arsenal player that apparently is available thats most interesting to me is Emile Smith-Rowe:

Garner22 Onana21
Smith-Rowe22

Midfield rebuild in 12months

I have a few mates who support Watford and they say he's been awful this year and can't wait to get rid.
Also seems mad we went for him in Jan.
I think its been expensive for a while for the profile people want (young & english mainly)

Last year Kean Lewis Potter was £20m
Harry Soutter £17m
Djed Spence £15m
Flynn Downes £12m
Marcus Tavernier £12m

Championship is good for us historically, and good for others presently:

Eze
Olise
Bowen
Johnson
Konsa
Brentford squad etc.

Would love us to go for Alex Scott (no not that one)
Heres the team of the season with 3 players linked to us Scott, Ndiaye, Gyokeres: https://www.efl.com/news/2023/april/efl-team-of-the-season-line-ups-revealed/

Only seen his youtubes but Scott seems ideal to make a long term 3 with Onana and Garner. Also flexible enough to play deep, central and advanced it seems.

If we could bring in a young midfielder like him and also a young top forward...i could even live with Iwobi on the right for another season :o

How about that Japanese guy , Furuhashi , that plays up front for Celtic. This guy is fast. He’s a clever footballer . He scores goals. He could be good for us. And he won’t cost silly money. A half decent offer , could tempt Celtic to sell. We can’t turn our nose up at everyone. And I’m thinking that a decent striker in Scotland , can be just as good as a proven striker in the championship. Would Furuhashi be any worse that that guy from Coventry city. ( that punters want us to bring in ). All conjecture anyhow. It’s all about taking a punt.
And of course , the likes of Morelos and Furuhashi would be playing second fiddle to a fit DCL. But imo , they would be two decent players to have on the bench. Better than Maupay anyhow.
And of course , let’s see how big Ellis Simms does. Up the Toffees.

If we're looking a striker that will only play a bit part role because DCL has got his fitness back (fingers crossed) what about Jamie Vardy should Leicester get relegated?

I understand that.

But would we get a young up and coming Striker wanting to sit on a bench? Would Vardy not offer something different? Again, I stress this is only in the interest of debate and not a wish of mine.

We want someone who can rotate with Dom imo, then we are not expecting too much from him and he is less likely to get injured again. That's not Vardy for me.

If Dyche stays we're playing with a sole striker so we need someone that can swap with him (same profile) IMO.

Plus I think Cannon has earned a crack in pre-season to see if he can be an option as a partner.

I'd also likely sell Dom anyway, unless they really have cracked his fitness woes.

I've just watched a video of Bakayoko at PSV and I'm convinced he is going to be one of the best RW in the world. He's only 19 so we absolutely have to pay up whatever PSV want and get him. Transfermarkt rate him at just 9 million so hopefully we could bag him for around 15 million.

Another ST we could have a look at is Nicolas Jackson at Villareal who was meant to go to Bmouth for £20 million in January but got injured.

Top talent...Everton is where players go to die mate...not become the best RW in the world.

I really like Kyogo, but he's 28 and we wouldn't be getting the bargain that Celtic did - we need to be getting these guys at the same stage Celtic / Brighton and other clever clubs get them, not the next transfer down the line when the price has tripled or more.

I forgot about Jackson after his move to Bournemouth fell through but we were definitely linked quite a bit with him too. I see he's got 4 goals in his last three appearances so clearly over any injury worries, I wonder if we'll revisit.

Easy negotiation though. You’re coming in to compete with Dom or play if we go more attacking…

… but we do have to manage Dom’s fitness, so…
