Yeah I know everyone loves Tarkowski despite him giving everyone absolute acres of space to play in basically anywhere they feel like because sometimes he blocks the shots that he's conceding by never closing down space ever.

Hes not the best CB ive ever seen but to say hes absolutely crap is just daft.

Alternatively its an acceptance of realism in the market given context and budgets. I mean equally to simplify you are saying, everyone is awful, so just sign better players - im sure no one ever thought of that mate. No personal offence indented! ;)

I wish we had 11 JT's mate, well 10 - because Doucoure is boss. lol

11 Tarkowski's would be hilarious because they'd just watch the other side dribble and pass right into the box and then try to block every shot

Rumours before were £15mil (then as the months go by the media keeps lowering it lol ).

I'd say £20mil the value based on ability shown so far...but double based on potential. Next season id expect him to be 'worth' £40mil but higher again based on potential

Honestly, and I mean this with the greatest amount of respect, I hate you lot over there. I'd easily have 3 teams if I lived there, Everton, a mid-league bouncing around probably not going to come up for awhile if at all and a non-league. Its really amazing how the setup is over there compared to what we have in the States with just mega teams with no real connection to where they play. Its just such a cool thing to see how much more engrained the team is to a culture than what we deal with.

I don't even know what there is to disagree on regarding the high line part. Tarkowski not being able to do it is obviously part of the problem. Even if you rate him overall that seems like a pretty indisputable part of his game. I personally wouldn't tailor my team to the needs of a player like that but fair enough to Dyche and all the others who would.

Anyway to bring this back semi on topic we're probably going to be in the market for a CB and one that can run would be part of my list of needs.

We've tried a high line so many times and got mullared, JT out of all our defenders isnt the worst, hes ok with ball at feet and his distribution is good.

I dont know if you ever played mate, but if your a defender especially a centre back, you cant think in isolation - its all about the line - you always have to consider the line - if you step forward and attack the space you move the line up and risk offside, a line break, or your partner stays with his man deeper and the line separates and space opens up between the two. Sometimes attacking space isnt down to you, it can be instruction but also holding the line - or your partner - say someone like Keane cant attack space nor has he recovery pace, if the attacking play progresses. Its a lot more nuanced then he just cant attack the space.

I hope we dont waste budget on a centre half to be honest, i know you are being glib, but Godfrey/run attacking space etc.
