Listening to the Business matter podcast and others, there is going to be no money available so we are back to the Jo's and the Straq territory signings now, so people turning the nose up at Wieghorst and the likes are in for a bit of a shock this summer I think UTFT!

Links to Maguire
Are we ever not linked to players utd want rid of?
If this is serious and we are looking to sign the freezer to go with our fridge I give up
I’d take him on loan for a season, If dyche is staying on, then he suits his style of play. He’s good in both boxes 6ft 4. We give up possession most games and have to defend deep, he’s better than everyone else we have bar Tarkowski.

It’s would also help Branthwaite, as he would be With Tarkowski or maguire. Not the best if we have to play Branthwaite next to holgate or Godfrey

We cant afford him. We cant afford his wages. His ego tells him hes too good to play for Everton. Someone he deems more suitable will sign him. File under absolute shabite. :)

The Esk says there’s no money every summer. Even 3 summers ago.

What we spend from July 1st we have till June 30th 2024 to balance the books.-‘d we have a few players we can sell. I’ve said it before but selling Pickford for 60mil and if that gets us 3 30mil forwards and gets us 30 more goals we will stay up next season

Looking at the squad based on which footballers will be under contract next year; according to transfermarkt, and I am filled with dread. I see a total of 4 names that you can rely on for a solid performance match to match.

Does anybody have any good news to help alleviate some concern?

maybe better for utd to loan him if they can’t sell for 30mil plus, because of FFP. And if you did a loan and payed half his wages that’s less than mina

We've tried a high line so many times and got mullared, JT out of all our defenders isnt the worst, hes ok with ball at feet and his distribution is good.

I dont know if you ever played mate, but if your a defender especially a centre back, you cant think in isolation - its all about the line - you always have to consider the line - if you step forward and attack the space you move the line up and risk offside, a line break, or your partner stays with his man deeper and the line separates and space opens up between the two. Sometimes attacking space isnt down to you, it can be instruction but also holding the line - or your partner - say someone like Keane cant attack space nor has he recovery pace, if the attacking play progresses. Its a lot more nuanced then he just cant attack the space.

I hope we dont waste budget on a centre half to be honest, i know you are being glib, but Godfrey/run attacking space etc.
There's a big common denominator deal with the defending last season though. I mean I get all you're saying it's just one guy was there while we defended essentially the same way the whole time.

Hes one of the main reasons we are still in this league mate.
That’s utter rubbish. You can pick out a save and I can pick a soft one he let in. Or like at Bournemouth the one he threw into his own net.

He’s a good keeper end of. Doucoure’s goals, McNeil’s goals. Gana winning tackles, Tarkowski’s blocks and headers and Mina’s performances over the last 4 games all factors why we stayed up
