Summer transfer window 2023

I know...it seems that for everton the window doesn't opened until August...my bad. In the meantime, others are doing business
We will be a bit behind in getting business done because we didn't know what league we were in til the final day so any planning could only be provisional, I just don't think there's any need to panic on the 10th of June, you are criticising the club about the names we are linked with but idle paper talk means nothing. I know the club have let us down many times in the past but IMO it's way too early to start stressing about what business we have or haven't done or what names are in the rags, most of which will be totally made up.

You cant compare what Dyche did in the Prem with Burnley with what Kompany did in the Champ thats nonsensical. How many teams have looked great in the Champ then come up and been garbage? Silly comparison that mate.
I am not comparing. Not at all.

What I mean is that there have hardly been players that have improved while being coached by Dyche. It is all about the collective and not about individuals. Recipe for disaster. Everton need to improve players with an expectation to sell with profit.

When a team mostly play long balls 10 meters over the midfielders head and are happy with the opponent dominate and have most possession, no midfielders will look good. It is all about giving players the possibility to shine. As soon as Nick Pope for signed Newcastle it became obvious that he was a lot better with the ball at his feet than anyone expected him to be. They were concerned at Brentford when they signed the limited Ben Mee, but he has been a revelation. So good with the ball.

People are raving, for good reason, about the football Brighton are playing under De Zerbi. Especially when playing out from the back. Pep said Brighton does it better than any other team in the world. And in centre and most important while doing it is Lewis Dunk. A 31 year old doing things no one ever expected from him 12 months ago. Because he is coached by a manager that wants to improve the players and that wants to play with a style and identity.

Dyche is likely to shave 20-30% off the market value from the squad per season. While increasing the average age of the squad year on year. That makes him the most expensive manager in the world. Keeping Dyche probably cost the club more than a relegation.

Which is why it makes sense to sell those we can get money for and replace them with grey nobodies. Until the club can afford a manager that is more concerned about developing players on training than what they are wearing.

In a crowded field this might be the biggest load of cack I've ever read on here.

You obviously have a massive downer on Dyche mate. The fella kept us up with a garbage squad and hasnt had the chance to bring anyone in for us let alone improve anyone. I dont think in the current situation we could get have a better manager for the inevitable slog of next season without any investment in the team. How about get off his case and at least wait til see if we struggle next season before giving the guy stick eh?

Dyche done a number on Zerbi and completely exploited Dunk (and the other centre halves) inability to play.

Sitting in the game that day, I’ve never noticed it before as much as I did that day that our players were clearly told leave the centre halves with the ball and ask them to play through us and they couldn’t.

We cut off are their options short, never pressed at all, even when they carried it forward and in the end they were clueless and resorting to passing backwards / sideways or going long and giving up possession.

Its too late then.

Its best to call him out for being a useless tosspot in the small hope that we act and sack the clown before the damage is done.

Would be my thinking.

Strange. Without him last season we go down under Lampard. Not much looks like changing regards the squad this Summer. Who are we replacing him with? Some expansive manager who takes us straight to the Championship? Bizarre some peoples ideas on here.

There are more than 2 managers in world football.

Our choice was never Lampard or Dyche.

Any manager with any nous could have got the points needed to keep us up, its a complete fallacy that Dyche is the only manager in world football who could have performed such a "miracle".

I never stated he performed any miracles nor suggested there are only 2 managers in football. He kept us up as he was our manager. To say any manger would of kept us up is just guesswork as we didnt have any other manager.
