I think Gorky has had two good seasons at that level, is it still a risk yes but he has more experience than Simms of starting week in week out at a higher level. Simms needs to develop more. Personally I would get Dembele and one to develop like Gorky who can play off a flank too but I am not clear on our financial situation it's likely sell to buy.

Feel pretty confident he can't play off the flank in a PL team that is interested in having a functional attack
Simms has had his chance the manager will have seen him in training ect if he feels he is not good enough is fine with me. Simms is the type of player we have held on to for to long in the past. Atleast this time we can finally make some money off, i just hope that is a sign of strikers coming in. Never seen the lad from coventry play but has been his name and beto who have been linked since last season.

As a club right now we are a complete shambles.
Once we get the board sorted we have one main priority and that is getting to BMD still playing in the premiership.
So for now any cash we have to spend, has to go straight on the priority positions e.g Forwards - RW - LB
To go and take risks on foreign kids this season ( Just cos they could increase in value ) is crazy talk
Once in BMD with new owners/Board and possibly new manager, that is a strategy where we want to be heading towards.
But with FFP even hanging over our heads I would rather put my trust in players we already know will bring something to our team.
( And that isn't cancelling out foreign leagues )
And finally - Not a chance in hell should we even entertain the thought of selling Pickford !!!

Watched a lot of him play? I've seen videos where he cuts in and scores from a wide position. Look I'm not wedded to him I am talking about a profile of forward someone who can play out wide or through the middle alongside a more experienced number nine type.
You've obviously never seen the lad play.

He can play wide in the same way Richarlison could which will thrill some and to me go to the point about a functional attack. I trust he could do it in the final third but wide players have other responsibilities.
Hes been here under what, 8 managers now? None have deemed him anywhere near the standard needed.

He would have had a job, he was at City then.
He is definitely not a Centre forward as in big target man , does most of his work coming in & out of the flanks.
He's very difficult for defenders to pick up & certainly knows we're the net is.
Far more to his game than Simms.
