Hang on. Newcastle want to sign Neves on loan from the Saudi club that have just paid Wolves £47million for him.

Please let that happen. Would surely blow the whole mess wide open. Not even trying to be disdiscrete
It's so predictable and blatent to everyone except the fa somehow, as soon as pif who own Newcastle acquired those four Saudi clubs and started initiating big money transfers I knew laundering players through loans to Newcastle was inevitable, I wouldn't be surprised if benzema ends up at Newcastle eventually on loan

mate not having a go here, but let's be honest our history is fantastic compared to wolves, but truthfully, Wolves at least look like they have a plan. We haven't even got a board, or a Chairman or a CEO, we have survived relegation the last two years by the skin of our teeth, we are up to our necks in ffp problems awaiting an ffp investigation. According to who you want to listen to we haven't a pot to piss in with a transfer budget, our squad is actually weaker than last year, our squad is disjointed. I have never been so pessimistic about an Everton team in my life, we do not look like signing anybody. If you've heard something please enlighten us , because right now, apart from the ground, I feel we are Donald Ducked, sorry mods I can not say it any plainer than that.
By most accounts Wolves are running into much the same problems as us right now after year of chucking money about and letting an agent tell them what do do (sound familiar?). The Neves money is a bit of a rescue for them but realistically only just covers the crazy deal they struck for Cunha, for whom they have an obligation to buy for 45m this summer.

I'm not defending Everton but I think the way FFP is structured to protect certain clubs we are the first but not the last down the path we've been down, Wolves look to be next and I'm sure others will follow.

I'm sure the FA are well aware and as corrupt as any other body in world football.

Get rid of all this FFP nonsense and let clubs/owners spend whatever they want.

Drop the pretense.

That's a terrible idea. You'd then have the equivalent of a super league with the richest clubs hoarding all the best players.

In an ideal world (which will never happen) you'd implement a salary/spend cap like American sports. That would even the playing field a little bit and make things more competitive.

I'm just really glad that doesn't happen already

Just go and get Lukaku… only on loan like, with 70% of wages covered by Chelsea.

Joking aside, and it’s been said 1000 times, we need 2 strikers with another wide forward and soon. Hope I’m wrong, but this is going to deadline day isn’t it 😂

Gets a bit philosphical about what is 'fair' - but obviously there will still be competition - just between the richest clubs.

Regulation is a tricky beast.
