Summer transfer window 2023

I don’t agree with the notion that we are the most unattractive club in the league, and that players would automatically choose the likes of Fulham over Everton.

If we were that bad, then all of our players would be gagging to leave. Whereas Pickford, one of the best keepers on the planet, signed a new contract just a few months ago.

We can still offer extremely good wages, and we remain well located for any player that wants to remain or move to the North West, which is ideal for top players at the Manchester clubs that may be looking for some game time ahead of next summer’s Euros.
We have a new stadium on the horizon too. The thing is though the club needs to sort out the board and actually function if we want to progress. That starts with booting Bill K out and getting that investment and a new board in.

Agree with a lot of the concerns here, but Brighton made some boss signings during his time there, with big sell on values. That's the model, that's the project (initially), before, hopefully kicking on again.
Not sure that's Potter but the Brighton model and I agree we should be following that.

Really doesn't feel like there's much to look forward to for us next season does there? We needed that board reset and investment then probably as much as we don't like it a big sale like Onana to start restructuring this squad. Regardless looks like another tough season ahead I just hope we are nearer to lower midtable and not scrambling around again.

Agree but things can change i just hope at the end of this window things look better. Some players in and changes in the board with new investment in the board with msp. We could go into the season positive

So here are the striker targets getting the most mention:

1) Dia - would be a replacement for DCL and, in my opinion at this point, a clear upgrade
2) Gyokeres - competition for DCL and an intriguing player, but a relative late bloomer who may or may not be able to make the jump
3) El Bilal Toure - maybe the most exciting due to his youth and physical potential. Initially competition for DCL, but potentially his replacement. Risk vs reward
4) Sanabria - doesn’t have the physical makeup of Gyokeres, but seems to be able to finish.
5) Vazquez - high risk, high reward. Looks to have the tools, but more of a player you bring in to serve as a backup and long term replacement. Given DCLs injury issues he only works if 1 of two striker signings
6) Weghorst - ugh

Any others?

Boulaye Dia? Probably not a good idea that

Chelsea are trying to force him out to Saudi which apparently he doesn't want to do.

If they can't resolve it why not ask for him on loan?

Never happening like, but I would still love to see big rom return.
Don’t get me wrong mate, I would love Lukaku back, I’d go and pick him up myself. If there was a chance we should be all over it but he’s going to have far better options than this circus.

Yes , feel the same myself.
At the moment it feels like the club is just drifting with no sign of the renewed purpose we had hoped for.
And certainly no external dialogue.
If we keep on drifting in this fashion we will eventually run aground and founder on the rocky shores of the forthcoming season.
We need someone at the helm, and quickly.

Probably Maupay mate and more clips of DCL looking incredibly tanned and fit.
