If we had a chunk of cash I'd do a Holgate + cash for Ndiaye and also a Gomes + cash for Jonathan David....and bring in Balogun too.

Over £100mil on top of the 2 players though so very unlikely.

The MSP group must surely see value in having Balogun (US) and David (Canada) seeing as along with Mexico theyre 2 of 3 locations for the 2026 world cup.

It is catch 22. I agree with the principle of what you are saying but when it comes to the end of the transfer window and the manager says he doesn't want a player and a club offer a loan that is worth maybe a million or two to the club's finances it would be difficult to say no.

No, he says come September if we've only spent £30m after selling Onana we would be dead certs. He doesn't say we'll be dead certs in June.

Yeah, there is a lot about the loan system I don't like, and if Neves appears on loan at Newcastle it will be the end of the loan system as a credible part of modern football.

His stats show him playing Centre forward, second striker, attacking midfield...with his best results coming in the latter two roles.

I'd guess he would be rotating then replacing Doucoure so ideally we would have a midfield 3 of:

Garner(22) Onana(21)
Ndiaye(23)
