Yeah, surprised Walker Peters isn't the one Newcastle are after. Especially after Livramento had that horrible cruciate ligament injury which kept him out for a year.
If they can get him fit then Livramento is the much better player though, but yeah it was a bad injury at a young age and there was some talk at one point about whether he would even play again.

I've seen a couple times on here people say 'we don't need another LW (Harrison) we've got McNeil' or 'we don't need another 10, we've got Doucs'. Yet we all experienced how the lack of squad depth and quality alternatives almost got us relegated. Every team needs quality, creativity, productivity, passion, experience, potential, engine etc across all areas of the pitch - Everton need to strengthen across the board
We need to strengthen the board first!

Livramento has a much higher ceiling. But yeah still to be seen how the injury has affected him. That might be a factor in the relatively low price I guess.

Edit: basically just repeated @Simon Buttle 's post there.

I also don't think it's totally beyond the realms of possibility that Dyche has a look at Alli and fancies his chances at getting a tune out of him

I think he'd be foolish to try it and the finances might ultimately prove a stumbling block unless we can renegotiate with Spurs, but what Dyche said about him the other month made me think he wants to at least take a look at him. Plus, you have to take it with an industrial load of salt, but the lad at Glastonbury on Twitter who posted a selfie with Dyche said that he fancied getting the best out of Dele (I know, I know)
Proper Everton if we got 20m for gray then persisted with Ali and gave all of it to spurs and he goes missing again

It's old fashioned thinking that you have one good player per position

I think whoever we do sign has to be versatile, with us being skint and having a load of sick notes in the team we need players that can play in several positions.

The only position where we could do with an out-and-out player for that role is no 9.

If we could get a decent (I know) CF, a winger who can play both sides (like Harrison for example), a CM that can play 8/10 (proper nonce using numbers, I know), and a full back that can play both sides, then I think we'd be much better off than where we were, so long as they're of a decent standard (lol).
