Summer transfer window 2023

Take it you didn't read my post? Seeing as I'm complaining about a team that were right next to us the season before last taking decisive actions with regards to their failing manager and bringing in one of the best managers in europe while we sit and wait till January before we sack a manager clearly in over his head since October. Now that team is in europe and looking forwards and up the table where we have stood still and if you stand still in this league you're going backwards.

So please, tell me where I'm stuck in the 80s in my post?

28 goals conceded was down to the fact he'd rather play holgate at rb then Patterson and he'd rather play keane then mina. He also insisted on pushing onana further up the field instead of allowing him to play his more natural position which is a 6. He also insisted on playing Maupay when he had simms. He also went insane when Doucoure got sent off and instead of sticking to his system tore it all up and cost us there.

His in game management is possibly the worst I've ever seen. He consistently brought on the wrong subs at the wrong time if he even bothered to make subs at all. Talk about injuries, we were playing a game every 3 days and he'd the same 11 with a defensive system that meant you don't have the ball which means you are constantly having to cover ground to block gaps. No wonder we got injuries.

I want him to do well because he's the everton manager obviously. I just don't think he will because he's given me nothing to believe he will.

To just be completely dismissive of a persons opinion by just ignoring what they've put and saying "you just want them to fail so you can say I told you so" is insulting.
Agree is why i hope with more options and well has the start from the season with less pressure he will have more trust in players like patterson. I understand everything you have said, this season he should have more attacking options upfront more wingers cf ect. So we can get far better view on his game management

I don't know where you get this from. I absolutely don't want him to fail. If he was amazing and got us back to where we want to be, why on earth would I care that I got it wrong?

It's a reductive way of responding to fans who don't like the manager. There Will be very few fans, if any, who would actively want the manager of our club to fail.

Absolutely mad thing to say. And Dyche is a backward thinking manager.

He obviously just doesn't agree with you but doesn't have the ability to debate your reasons why. So resorts to saying you want the club to fail.

Seems like the type of person you'll reply to pointing out the wholes in their post and they'll just reply with a post saying "you're" because you put your by accident and act like they've just completely destroyed your argument.

In my opinion FL should have been sacked after the debacle that was the week in which we experienced a 7-1 drubbing at the hands of Bournemouth which would have given any new manager, the World Cup time to bed in, and could have identified some targets in January. I think the reason we did not do this, was because we knew we had no money and no manager would come in, knowing this given our precarious position.

Funnily enough, this lack of productivity is then followed by the appointment of an out of work guy, who comes in about three days from the end of the transfer window which is too late to buy anyone but that sacking also buggers up the loan we had agreed. Cast your mind back a year as well, they did the same thing then as well, why sack a manager in the middle of a transfer window when there has been ample opportunity to sack them before unless you want to use it as an excuse not to buy. The club is a joke and so obvious in what it does, but it thinks it’s fooling people. Delusional pr1cks

I’m not sure about that…it was only after being constantly questioned in the press conferences that he dropped him and having dropped him we had s little resurgence in results. It would not surprise me when the pressure is off, if he gives him another go. I hope not.
How many managers have we had since Kean signed? All of them apart from Lampard have stuck with him. That includes Carlo, Kean must do something right in training. Or just that Mina was always injured so he was the best next option.

Bit of a worry we don't really have a suitable partner for Tarkowski . Branthwaite obviously, but he is still young for a central defender and still lacks a bit of experience (the dark arts that Mina was good at). Would say Godfrey was our next option but his physical attributes make up for slot missing from his game, in terms of seeing danger early . Think we need another centre half, once we can ship a couple out

Yeah, he’s so backward he managed to get Burnley, yes Burnley into Europe.

You don’t want to give him a chance, despite what he walked into. I’m afraid its as simple as that really.

By saying he shouldn’t be managing a club like Everton, it really is that simple lol

Yep, it was that bad he kept us up.

I feel it’s probably justified

I do get the desire for someone that may excite over the next 5 years etc, but the type of manager we’d all ideally like at the club would get massacred every week with the players we have and the players we can afford.

I genuinely hope so im desperate for us to do well, hell I'm desperate for us to just have a season where we finish mid table and dont have to constantly worry about being relegated.

Hopefully I'm completely wrong and next summer we can all laugh about how wrong I was.

What is the type of manager we’d all ideally like though?

Half a dozen defeats and they’d be getting pulverised like every other manager before them.
