Might be wrong but didn't McNeil come in late last July as our first signing with a fee? Same situation as now I guess. It's sad but it is what is. I appreciate we had a larger squad 12 months ago mind.

If someone like Rodrigo is available for 3m and wants to stay in the Barclays, we need to be getting that over the line sharpish though.

Traditionally Everton have always bought late, I bet that is a Billy Bull5h17 plan thinking we get players cheap but the reality is the later the window gets the more we get bent over because we are desperate.

Even if we look a bit better in a few weeks I want to see the team fight as if they are in a relegation battle from day one. We are going to be in the bottom six so we need to accept that before the season starts
