Summer transfer window 2023

Never heard of him but he must be kin good if unheard of youngsters are going for £4m. What would the Everton board do? What a football club.

It is moaning because

1. No one knows our financial situation at present

2. No one knows how good this kid is. If he turned out to be another Lukaku and we sold him on for £70m+ then does it really matter if we spend £30m on him same as Onana.

Some people like to moan mate - we signed Demari Gray for £1.7m and people moaned. We sign Onana for £30m and the same people moan.

Its boring to read 24/7.
Moaning about moaning about moaning which may or not be moaning.

You can tell its a slow transfer window.

Wake me up when something happens.

Let’s not get too giddy about adding to our “kitty” by selling an academy player who’d never featured in the first team.

We also got £40m for one of our academy players in January and still seemingly have zilch to spend.

Supposedly is very good. Shame but what can you do. Most youth players would leave us for Chelsea anyway, but in our current state it's even more of a no-brainer for him isn't it.

Absolute shambles.

Selling off players for a fraction of what they are potentially worth.

How in this earth are this board still here? Disgusting
Potentially is doing so much work here. The PL is unbelievably competitive now as the world’s talent arrives and it’s just getting harder and harder for a young academy player to make it. Samuels-Smith might make it but for all the talent he has it’s still stacked against him. 4 million for a kid who’s probably years of development / loans away from playing premier league football, if he ever does, I think you’ve got to take it.

I’m all for this. Build an academy and sell players. A player who has never played for the first team, for 4m, yes please. This is exactly what an academy should do. We have to remember at the moment who and where we are.

If we want academy players to want to stay at us, develop and then play for the first team then first team affairs need sorting first. One will slip through the net every now and again but also don’t forget Thierry Small, debut under Carlo, moaned and left because of no opportunities, went to Southampton and as far as I am aware he hasn’t had a first team game for them and spend last season on loan as St Mirren or something.

Given we had to fight to get him to sign his first pro deal last summer with the interest from City etc, it's eye opening that we'd sell him now for that sort of figure.

Clearly we are desperate for the money. Selling the best prospects coming through the academy for buttons isn't what I'd hoped we might do to raise funds but we are where we are.

Fuming about selling a random kid you’ve never heard of is peak GOT transfer thread. He wasn’t signing a deal here, it’s great money.
I’d say 90% of Everton fans have heard of him, he’s been training with the first team and I’m sure he was in the bench for one game
