That's a very good Q,and I suspect you will get a number of different answers. If someone would indulge an ignorant American, when y'all refer to a club being big or not big, what's the main basis of judgment? Is it the club's age, or number of titles won, or the amount of time it's spent in the top flight, or its annual gate receipts, or its global reach, or what?
This aged welllooking forward to the next netflix documentary on sunderland's promotion to the championship, especially the bit where sunderland make 6 bids for will grigg and he eventually signs and fires them into the championship
Didn't quite understand how it went from 1.25m to 3m.Another great series. The owner seems a good bloke but shows why they shouldn't be anywhere near the footballing side of the business. Felt sorry for the manager. He wanted Grigg but even said 1.25 million was too much for him yet the chairman had to play bertie big balls in his pursuit of him. His mate was even worse than the clown in the first series. Very entertaining.
Just heard it and the bloke who said it was Nick Barnes a radio commentator who isnt a fan as far as I'm awareAnd they still think they're "one of the biggest clubs in England"
