Sunderland afc

Coleman won't last long. Why he thought it was a good idea to take the job, I don't know. They will go down.
Coleman sounded haunted on 5 live earlier, I really don't know what possessed him to take on the job, he sounds like he severely regrets it already.
The problems at Sunderland appear deep seated and transcend the players and management, very similar to the Rangers situation up here.

As with Rangers it will take a complete change of ownership, loads of investment and plenty of time to turn things round.

You almost have to admire the way @orly has managed to maintain a hatred towards an opponent this screamingly inept.

It's like if you want to punch a guy and he just fell on the floor before you got there and started craping himself and then there's blood in the crap and you realise he is literally craping his internal organs out in front of you to the point where he is honestly crapping himself to death.

At that point I'd find it quite hard to still punch the guy, just out of embarrassment.

But orly, fair to play to him, is still giving him upper cuts as his heart floats out of his sphincter and spreads across the floor.

Could be worse. I could be a mag. Every cloud and all that.

It's actually a disgrace what's going on with you lot at the moment. From a premiership side to being 24th in the Championship ffs, You could understand if you were hovering around mid table needing a season or two to sort yourselves out but you are an utter mess. A 36 year old John O'Shea at the back, A terrible manager in Coleman who's reputation was only enhanced by getting carried by a world class talent in Gareth Bale and yet people wonder why nobody wants to go near the club.

Jesus. Do you watch the 'Walking Dead' by any chance? lol That's quite a gory scenario you've mustered up there mate!

I've had 4 notifications from @orly since Yesterday, so I'll address you directly mate. I could just copy & paste my post-match comments from last week. Absolutely woeful performance, we lacked any sort of game plan and just waited for the inevitable - Cardiff goal. Again, I want to hit you back with some upper-cuts of my own but Sunderland have give me nothing to work with. Luckily, I didn't go down Yesterday, I had to go to work. I watched the entire 90 minutes when I got home (As a form of self-induced suffering). Our regression is frightening, we can't score and we can't defend - that's relegation form, simple as. Despite my consistent - "We won't go down" - prediction I'm now starting to doubt myself. The last 3/4 matches have been totally shambolic and the players should be ashamed. It looks like they're just going through the motions. Our tempo is so slow, it's like we're playing a pre-season friendly at times, no urgency, no quality, no desire.

It's not even the losing that bothers as much, (we're used to it) it's the manner of the defeats. Like, if we had set out to defend properly, make it hard for Cardiff to score and a late penalty goes against us, I can handle that, but our players don't even have the backbone to stand up and be counted. Soon as we go behind, the players heads go down and it's game over.

Yesterday, within 2 minutes we lost a goal then went down to 10 men. Ndong, who clearly doesn't want to play for us, is very harshly sent off and then we just collapse. No professional pride, just felt sorry for ourselves and accepted that we weren't getting back in to it. Sometimes, (rarely I admit) teams who go down to 10-men start working even harder, feeling a sense of injustice, then start to play better and work hard for each-other, not us, we just throw the towel in.

Cattermole, decided to block his own keeper for their 1st goal. It's just comical man.

I'm so angry at the moment, it's like watching my club die in front of me. What annoys me more than anything, is how I can't relate to any of these players. Literally, all 11 of them could walk tomorrow and I wouldn't be bothered, I bet @Sunderland afc feels the same.

Coleman needs to make some drastic decisions. Drop Cattermole from the squad completely, John O'Shea must be dropped and Ndong too. Make a statement, if that means putting in academy players in who ultimately aren't good enough, we'll accept that, least we'll have players putting in 110% and who genuinely want to play for the club. At this stage, we've tried and persisted with the 'Senior' experienced players for too long, we need an entire new strategy as what we're doing at the moment, is clearly not working.

Piss-poor Sunderland.

At the minute Sunderland are like an old faithful dog,its back legs have gone,no control over its bowels, you know its dying but you dont want to get it put down even though its suffering
The players from what I seen yesterday, feel the same way as the fans apathetic, given up and fed up,O Shea should have been binned 3 years ago,Cattermole I have just never understood the love for him but hes finished,Coleman I dont think is the man to change things, certainly not without financial backing,2 forwards gone and none in to replace them,Vaughan though not great was sold at a 200k loss which shows why the club is in the state it is
Relegation is very much on the horizon, though results have picked up slightly the other teams around you have been having small runs of 5/6 games where they pick points up where as Sunderland are losing and losing badly to clubs close to them

Yep, Cattermole had 1 outstanding season, unfortunately, that was about 5 years ago, he's finished, leg's have gone, now he's just tarnishing his reputation with us as he is playing really poor. His decline has been coming for months, it's just becoming more and more blatant. I said all this to my mates last year, who seemed to think Cattermole would 'dominate' the midfield for us in this "Mickey mouse league". It was never going to work like that, they're massively underestimating how much the league has improved since we were last in it. Now, it's more competitive than ever and is a very fast league. Cattermole, used to make it with his lack of pace with sensible positional sense and good judgment. Now, he's lost that completely, and mediocre Championship players are just running past him with ease, it's hard to watch.

"He gives his all" - Is the only defense his loyal fans have to say, it's becoming very obvious that simply isn't enough.

These next 2 games v Hull & Birmingham are make or break. I honestly think we need 6 points, although 4 wouldn't be a disaster. Anything less than that...Well, we know what.

Yeah tou definitely need a minimum 4 points out of those fixtures, though with the home record it could well end up being 0,I think the shock of dropping so far,so quick has knocked all confidence out of the area, the fans just seem resigned to the fact that the team is so poor

Don't think matters anymore. I can't see anything but relegation.

Theres always a chance until mathematically impossible, but tend to agree it looks probable, watching that game yesterday and I felt like booing them, without an injection of new blood I think its going to happen and cannot see league 1 being a stroll either

We need something special this season and can't see it. The Players are terrible and there isn't any cash to get any in. Coleman can only do so much. The only hope is that we sell and the club allow him some money to spend.
