Sunderland afc

We need something special this season and can't see it. The Players are terrible and there isn't any cash to get any in. Coleman can only do so much. The only hope is that we sell and the club allow him some money to spend.
Problem is who can you sell, its more a case of family stainless steel than family silver, plus any sales are just going straight into sustaining the club, unless Short decides to cut his losses its going to get a lot more painful

No toilet paper? Now it's starting to make sense why that lad defecated on his seat. He needed to be near someone with tissue paper.

Joking apart, I feel a lot of sympathy for the Sunderland fans. The ones I have met have always been sound. They have been run into the ground.

N'dong and kone and that's it. Unless someone wants cattermole

I don't think anyone will be too interested in either of them to be honest. None of them have played particularly well, you could counter-argue that by saying they don't want to play for us, hence the lack of form and consistency. But, if any of the top clubs have been watching us lately, I highly doubt there will be a queue of potential interested parties. But, you're right mate, they're our only real players who could bring in a few million (hopefully).

I do feel sorry for Ndong mind, sometimes he has been paried up with Cattermole/Gibson meaning he has to cover their lack of mobility, as well as doing his own personal role in the team. He has to do the running of 2 men to cover the pitch. I don't blame him for wanting out, hurts me to say it but we're in a free-fall and have nothing to really keep him here.

Cattermole, well, we're stuck with him, courtesy of the boards/manager incompetence by offering him a new long-term deal when it was perfectly obvious to all he was on the decline, just another bad error of judgment in a series of monumental blunders.

Rumours he may just retire.
Really poor effort from Rodwell. I remember that goal against United, and thinking he could be a real Rolls Royce of a player. A huge shame.

Is it likely he will take the offer rather than milk the last 18 months of a 60k a week contract?!? I don't know if he is a genius, but you'd have to really hate what you are doing in life to think that it's a better option.

He's lost the passion mate. You can see it in his game, his demeanor, his interviews etc. I've heard rumours, (could be complete BS by the way) that he is struggling with his mental health. This is from internal sources mind, and a few people have mentioned it on the RTG Sunderland forum, this is hardly 100% accurate information. If true, it would certainly explain while he wants out and why he's really struggling to play consistently for us.

Mental health problems is a real, real problem and something any-one shouldn't go through. If that is a factor, I think it's probably best for both-parties if he leaves and get's his head sorted, before he decides if he still wishes to pursue a career in football.

Even if that rumour isn't true, it's still best he leaves, his reputation is now at an all time-low, it's quite clear his Sunderland career is never going to work out, it's best if Sunderland and Rodwell part company.

Fundamentally, the club simply can't afford to pay someone 60k a week who rarely plays due to injury or other issues (potentially) when we're in a dire financial situation. Something has to give, so it's about time this Rodwell situation was properly sorted.

It's a shame, I had genuine high-hopes of him doing okay here, I thought if he could find some of his earlier career form he had for Everton, we had ourselves a cracking little player on our hands, it's just never worked out.

Again I reiterate, it's more than likely just speculation that his personal issues are the reason behind him not playing. No-one knows the truth. If he is genuinely having mental health issues, I sincerely hope he get's the help he needs as it's a horrible thing to go through.

Hopefully, if he does leave, he'll come back and start a new chapter and revive his career, he's guaranteed to come back and score against us, you just know it's written in the stars.

I think he'll probably just retire more than likely.

As I wrote my previous response, I actually wondered about mental health issues. I hope it is not the case, but an awful situation all round. I hope that if it is the case, he gets the help he needs.

As for allowing him to be released from his contract - this sounds like something a sharp legal team would rip Sunderland apart over. When things go bad, they really go bad.

Yep, I hope he get's the right help too.

You're right about your second point too, I can see it leading to an internal legal battle of Rodwell v Sunderland. Something, we could really, really do without at this stage.

When it rains, it pours eh?
