The opinion of this forum is more valid than the opinion of the general match going fan base, due to the fact that those who have signed up to a football forum will be more likely to read and understand the reality of the club.

That isn't a criticism of those fans who aren't as informed either. I wish I could go to the match and just watch the football, it's what it is supposed to be about really.

Funny, but if I remember correctly when the premier league was formed Everton had to spend the least of all the clubs to modernise their stadium...

Now in 2015, we'd probably have to spend the most

How's that for investment???

What was the club debt when Johnson left, and what is it now?
What tangible club assets did we own when Johnson left, as compared to now?

I'm not defending Johnson, I'm saying Kenwright isn't that much better.
Under Kenwright we have an absentee 2nd majority shareholder who has attended one game in 8 years, doesn't put a penny into the club, mocked the club's fans on U.S. tv, and whose sole tweet in the days after the club's greatest ever manager died was to wish Jushin Bieber a happy birthday. This leech owns nearly a quarter of the club, and was brought into the club by Kenwright so that he could silence his former best friend Paul Gregg and maintain his power grip on the club.

oh no! was that really his 'sole tweet', this absentee second majority shareholder of ours?
and then he goes and mocks the club's fans on US tv
that sonofabitch

Personally i think the board as a whole need to face the music. Kenwright is hung out to dry 99% of the time by the rest of the powers that be.

We have a 3 man board. Kenwright, Earl, Woods.
Non-Evertonian Earl was brought into the club by Kenwright and is an absentee, silent shareholder.

So effectively, we have a 2 man board in Kenwright and Woods. That's the whole board. It's Kenwright's choice not to have more people and more investors on the board.

Swansea City (lauded by many as a well run club) have 11 men on their board, including an elected supporters director representing the club's supporters.

Glad you think it's acceptable for a man who owns 23.27% of Everton Football Club to behave in this manner.

I would love a supporter rep on the board, not sure how much power he would have. The way i see it if we had 11 members on the board then we may not of seen moyes given time to stabilise us on the field and maybe martinez would of been sacked during our horrible run last year.

True. We may also have found investment by now, as there would have been 11 looking instead of 2 (if the 2 are actually looking).

Not wishing to be a pedant mate, but we have a 4 man Board containing 3 Directors and Robert Elstone as CEO but not a director of the Company.

The annual report does not state how many Board meetings are attended by each individual. It is possible that Earl attends by phone.

I stand corrected. I wonder what odds I could get on Earl having zero contact with the club during said meetings?
