Why are the board funding a fly past banner to thank its own chairman?

Cant they just call him instead?

You cant think they are that stupid, surely?

If it said 'Good luck Bill. In our thoughts' or whatever then yeah. Slightly strange, but I'd go with the flow.

Anything about support for his tenure is a huge wind up and piss take. And everyone knows that. But he's chosen to do it.

Was the feller pushed on his identity? I'm not saying for a minute that it should be revealed btw if he'd like that to remain anonymous. It's just that it's a bit naive to go for this level of publicity over a controversial stunt and to court that many news agencies to get the story out there and to believe it'd be left alone. It's not like us on here who post in anonymity. This feller has gone for broke and in a very public way.

Under those circumstances the motive is very much under scrutiny.

No idea. But I would trust with my life, well, not quite, but you get the point, that the IT skills of the mod team and site owner to unearth a kopite influence means that it is not. A kopite that is.

I dont know what to think now. I was sure before that this was a wind up. I still think it may be, even if it isn't the Kopite kind. More of a goad or something. I dont know. Which is fair enough comment I think.

This banner idea though has become really divisive and I think it's backfired.

Maybe Stephen should just use all the banner cash for EitC?

As Groucho says, the company doing them are not going to be arsed either way where the cash is coming from.

Southampton airspace, for the plane was limited due to the airport. I doubt the lad behind the one over Goodison will have the same issue. Fair play to him if he pulls it off.

As I said earlier, from a reasonably unbiased POV, I've always tried to encourage a middle ground from both factions but to no avail.

Neither group will give an inch on their opinions, and as I said earlier, both can be quite intimidating for a fan who's not really concerned with the commercial side of football.
