There is a clear left bias on this website, wonder why? Is to do with location? protection of benefits? or what. Come on why are so many pushing for Labour? what is they are offering that gets your vote?

One item, look at the NHS, where are the 20,000 nurse, 8,000 GPs and 3,000 Midwives going to come from and when? Will they be told which hospitals they have to go to and have no choice? How long will their contracts be and at what rate of pay? How will they be paid for? As for the MansionTax this is going to be elastic money it will have to stretch a long way. However it will be something like nearly two years before this produces money and when it does the tax will not be ring fenced but go into the overall tax pot. So how will the shortfall be met if there is no tax money only one way, borrow! Any ideas anyone?

What ever it is going to be an interesting weekend. BTW apparently Strurgeon has a meeting with ED set for Friday.

I respectfully suggest you read back the last 700 odd pages. The answer is in there somewhere.

Labour Party: Members Wary Of Lib Dem Coalition

LABOUR members should be consulted at a recall conference before the party enters into a coalition with Liberal Democrats, party democracy campaigners urged yesterday amid fearmongering from the right-wing press.

Following days of Tory attacks over the legitimacy of a minority Labour government dependent on the support of Scottish nationalist MPs, yesterday’s Times screeched that leader Ed Miliband was “set to hold talks with union bosses within 48 hours of the polls closing.”

In fact, the basis for this claim was merely that Labour’s executive would meet to discuss potential arrangements in an emergency post-election meeting.

The paper implied that trade unions would prefer a deal with the SNP or a minority government to a coalition with the Liberal Democrats.

But Campaign for Labour Party Democracy assistant secretary Jon Lansman said consulting the party structures outside of Parliament would be essential in keeping members on side.

“Our members have a right to be consulted,” he told the Star.

“It’s vital that the executive has a say, and I would argue that we should go further. If they really wanted they could hold a recall conference — the notice could go out on the Friday, and it could be held the following Saturday.”

And he warned an agreement with the Liberal Democrats would alienate much of Labour’s support and spark bitter opposition from party members.

“I think there’ll be enormous concerns about working with the Lib Dems after what they did following the last election,” he said.

“We’re also involved in a real battle with them in all of the urban seats they hold.”

Earlier this week Conservative Home editor Paul Goodman called for Tory members to be balloted before entering another coalition

I don't mind that Scottish bint, I think she is sound. She does look a bit like a lizard though.

Because Liverpool is a city that was decimated by the Tories in the past.

Then there's the fact that I hope the majority of the people in the city agree with the values of community and helping the vulnerable in society (which let's face it, is all of us at some point in our lives), these concepts are alien to the Conservative Party.

Swerve that, what's left of that party is just a shower of pricks who haven't got the bottle to come out as fully fledged Tories.

Labour shouldn't be touching them with any deal, ESPECIALLY with Clegg in charge.

I think that what really hurt Liverpool was being on the wrong side of the country when we joined the EU. Not sure in what way you mean the city was decimated by the Cons'.

All there is back there is hatred of the current administration which has 24 hours to go. Your reply does not take in the other points of my post though, never mind.

There's your answer then. We all hate the Tories. In regards to your other points, recruitment in the NHS will probably include immigrants because our country depends on them and the mansion tax isn't the only option available.

If the polls are to be believed, he won't have a choice.

More immigrants! wonder where from? If not the Mansion Tax what are the other options?

Bear in mind if you want to spend the money has to come from tax or borrowing.
