The Premier League seem secretive about decisions on club finances, and do not move swiftly to a published conclusion so it may be some time before the outcome of any investigation of Everton's finances is known.

For example, there is still, so far as I am aware, no published decision on the investigation into Manchester City over FFP, (parallel to the failed UEFA investigation but not time-barred as that was). It was started in 2018 and was last mentioned in the press in July 2021 when Manchester City failed to convince the Appeal Court that the investigation should be confidential.

Lord Justice Males noted the time that had elapsed since the Premier League launched its investigation. “This is an investigation which commenced in December 2018. It is surprising, and a matter of legitimate public concern, that so little progress has been made after two and a half years – during which, it may be noted, the club has twice been crowned as Premier League champions,” he said.

He was moaning in January that Moshiri hadn't agreed to personally meet him and explain his decisions.

Esk does seem to be quite a smart guy but he's so far up his own backside it's unreal. Drunk on twitter fame.

It's mainly because he got the Mata and Witsel transfers wrong. This can happen to any ITK , he was only sharing what he had been told and I think the stick he got on here was way out of proportion. The man is an Evertonian and only wants what is best for the club. The lad deserves a break

It's difficult to know what a person is like from Internet posting mate. Things can come across differently than when someone talks to you face to face. He has been banging on for ages about the mess the accounts are in and the sanctions we may get. He has been proved right.

Hes got a lot more wrong than just a few transfer guesses. The whole usmanov wouldn’t be able to sell his shares in Arsenal and Kroenke wouldn’t buy them. And he’d never invest in Everton. When covid hit the ground build won’t start till 2025.

Even Friday night on a space he’s scaremongering. Miles out his figures if we get relegated and the parachute payments. Also covid loses. And saying it’s catastrophic we’ve lost the Usm sponsorship.

We're an absolute joke.

Grim reading Andy, although Paul the Esk was not quite as clued up on our transfer business as he claimed to be a few years ago, but, he does have a good grasp a balance sheet. It really is terrifying that a lot of fans are still lauding 'Mosh Man' and discussing the tens of millions we will be spending in the summer. We are really In a dark place both on and off the pitch, and, whether by poor judgement, in appointing incompetent people to do the day to day running of the club, or, an owner showing reckless disregard for the advice those people are giving him, or, as I'm inclined to believe a mixture of both, we are heading for oblivion if this is not addressed immediately.

It you have a look at the transfer window thread, for example, it is like fantasy island. So many people seem to believe that if we can manage , by some miracle, to comply with financial regulations a then we will be able to give Lampard or his successor, all of the money raised by the sale of our better players to rebuild the squad. It doesn't seem to register that this is a business which is losing well over a hundred million pounds per year and, irrespective of financial compliance or not, the cold hard facts are that we are heading towards recievership.

I fear the premiership is sitting on its hands hoping we relegate ourselves so they do not have to act. It does look strange that we are claiming well over a £100m more losses due to covid than arsenal and Chelsea who surpass our gate receipts by much more.
