spot on mateyStill don't think that first test declaration was dumb at the time, going for Aussie 2-10 at stumps was a good idea that didn't pay off, at the close of day 5 it doesn't look smart, what can you do though, for all we know if he didn't declare Root could have got out next ball, lots of things happen over 5 days, dropped catches spring to mind, that declaration didn't cost them the match on it's own.
But NZ did win a gold, they literally won a test championship.Colin Jackson was world number 1 for near ten years, and never got Olympic gold. Gotta want it...
he was world champ, multiple medalist and held one of the longest records. Sorry Si, but jacko was world class and apparently as a coach the sort of tyrant you want in charge of junior school PE classesColin Jackson was world number 1 for near ten years, and never got Olympic gold. Gotta want it...

They're a good listen those lads, and have been quite funny for some time on social media. Was listening to Grade Cricketer earlier - fantastic podcast, by the way, despite them being Aussies - and they made a good point about this final Test at the Oval.
By the time the next Ashes comes around, it'll have been 10 years since England won a series/held the Ashes and the two sides will look vastly different. So, despite it being 2-1*, should get a good game.

Not a fan of some of the quotes I'm seeing about a 'moral victory' and 'fair results' from the england camp. Cummins and the aussies were utterly terrified of a 3-2 comback and without rain it would have happened because of their terror and how it was affecting their play. Now they are freed up with nothing to lose while England have to get over a massive kick in balls, ultimately the aussies have better players so without the pressure we had put them under I think they are favourites for this one. A slight dip outside of evens and I might even back them
Don’t think we’ve lost the series just yetWe lost the series by dropping 19 catches and a missed stumping in the first 2 tests Hopefully we learn that lesson going forward.
I think that's decent, might chuck some on and be okay with losing it!7/4 on Bet365
