Foakes also averages around 40 and its going up, it's not like he's a bunny, he's a decent bat. I really like Bairstow as a batsman, he's not played all that well this summer unfortunately.

He has played 3 innings that Foakes is likely uncapable of, and before his injury was the most inform batsman on the planet. While it hasn't worked out his selection was understandable and while Foakes is a better keeper the fanboying of him is a bit much.

Definitely not fanboying, just want someone who can catch the cricket ball, the runs he's scored aren't making up for the catches dropped and only 1 innings made a difference to a match. I'd have taken Bairstow ahead of Crawley at the beginning of the series.
