The Ashes 2023

Which makes the ineffectiveness of broad and Anderson even more baffling. They are up there with the best when it comes to line and length.
They used to bowl too short in Australia due to seeing the extra bounce, 80mph and no lateral movement was cannon fodder at the length they bowled, they needed to push it up fuller, and not be deterred by being driven, Anderson was so guilty of this.

Haha here we go. Technicalities saving you from utter embarrasment about ‘not winning back’ the Ashes on home turf and cheating with the new ball eh?

My stars. Guess who has the Ashes.

WE DO

Just pointing out your technical error. I’ve got no issue with Australia retaining the Ashes, good luck to them for doing so…..

See I’m not sure. Was definitely a turning point in English cricket when we actually had a team with 7-8 very good players for the first time in 20 years instead of 1-2. When I watch replays I cannot get over just how bad Kevin Pieterson’s hair is.
Got lucky with McGrath rolling his ankle too, but I think that was a complete side, with a keeper who was picked for keeping too I might add (another bit of luck, taking that catch to win the 4th test when it wouldn't have been out with today's technology). Flintoff was immense that series, 95mph, some big runs.

I've got this horrid memory of flintoff bowling near half volleys that would still bounce up near the batters throats he looked that hard to face lol

Been waiting for your post recognising that Aus collapsed from 264/3 to 334 all out. Not really having a go. Just pointing out that all teams do it but people tend to notice much more when it's their team doing it.
True, even in the steve waugh era for us I was always waiting for an inevitable batting collapse when in reality it probably wasn't that often
