How ridiclous of me.

He plays for England and they play him at RB. Really.Englands right back, really.
Same way Anthony Gordon is a striker, really. He plays for England and they play him at RB. Really.
You're ridiculous.Really cute how "Garner at RB" is now a thing between brainlets and bigots on here - he played there because of a crap situation where the actual RB had to be at left back for a few games lol
England also fielded attacking mids and wingers as strikers, i.e. Palmer and Gordon being a striker duo. You know, striker and player of the tournament Anthony Gordon, the classic #9.
I think that's as good as it gets with our squad.Eventually I think we'll see a 4141:
---Coleman---Tarkowski---Branthwaite---Mykolenko
------------------------Gueye
----------------Garner---------Onana
---Harrison------------------------------Danjuma/McNeil
-------------------------Beto
We';re very overstretched in key areas.I think that's as good as it gets with our squad.
It's a problem that there are only few other options if any of those have to sit games out, let alone challenge the weaker elements of that side.
Agreed. Patterson is OK, going forward but his final balls are hit and hope, no cutting edge, and gets exposed too often, out of position.I've said since before game one that Garner will very quickly be moved to right back. Thankfully that cart horse Keane has been found out again. I'm hopeful that the Ashley Young experiment is now over as he's been awful: had his chance and blown it as far as I'm concerned. Tarkowski has been uncharacteristically awful so far, but let's see him in a fixed back four, he's one of a very select few that come out of last season with any credit in the bank.
Garner-Tarkowski-Branthwaite-Myko, as @davek says.
name me one game he has played for England as RB, I’m not trying to be clever just that I watch pretty much every England game and never seen him play one game at RB never mind a few.He plays for England and they play him at RB. Really.
England U21'sname me one game he has played for England as RB, I’m not trying to be clever just that I watch pretty much every England game and never seen him play one game at RB never mind a few.
CB absolute must. Tarkowski is OK, Branthwaite looks good but it's a lot to put on him at his age/experience (though I suspect he's up fir that challenge). I have big worries over Keane and Godfrey if that's who we gave to rely on.We';re very overstretched in key areas.
We need 3 more in by Thursday. CB, CM and forward.
You're ridiculous.
He played there and got great reviews for his performances. He played RWB for Everton and got rave reviews for his perfomance.
Until we get Coleman back the obvious choice is to go with Garner at RB. Just as the obvious choice at LB right now is Mykolenko who can at least defend.
Coleman was as good a player as we had in the team last season in the games he played. He offers us shape behind the ball, a determination to get forward and support the attack and the odd goal or two each season. Oh, and leadership. As much as I love Coleman, I'm absolutely not looking forward to seeing him and Young either side of our defence. You can talk about lack of a finisher and so on, but having two players at that age in that part of the pitch completely inhibits your attack. They simply don't have the legs to get up and down the pitch.
The signing of Young completely baffles me to be honest. There's a lot of limitations in Mykolenko's game but there's no way he gets skinned in the same way Young did for Villa's first goal last weekend and he probably gets a lot tighter to Neto for Wolves' goal on Saturday too.
