Again with the 14 y.o. kid......

TBH, I'm not sure what's the most disturbing.......

Your unhealthy obsession with some 14y.o. boy that you got all uptight about because he was called a 'spotty twerp' by me.

OR

The fact that you you've repeatedly used him to try to somehow score some sort of point against me (Again - your obsession with a 14y.o. boy) despite it being spelled out for you on several occasions what my issue is......namely, what you've said (See below)

OR

That you believe that villa are bigger than Everton - solely on the grounds that: "They've won more trophies" (Incorrect) While claiming innocence of ever even insinuating that they are. (If you don't, then WHY bring that up???? WHY get nowty when it's mentioned that villa have been relegated more than us?? WHY keep referring to the 14 y.o. boy when it's what YOU said that grated with me?)

OR

That you believe you can (in your own mind) 'disqualify' me from a debate on the most spurious of grounds, simply because I mention the respective clubs' neighbours' track records, as well as the demographics of the respective cities in terms of their respective support/ fanbase. Talk about delusions of grandeur on a kopite level! :bye: (You'd have loved to have banned me from that thread if you had mod powers, wouldn't you? Not that you've got the boll-hocks to admit it and therefore prove your own kopite behaviour like.)

OR

After what's been pointed out to you, you think you can still brazenly accuse someone of kopite behaviour - before any insult was aimed directly at you - without any trace of irony or hypocrisy. (To all intents & purposes calling me a kopite & then openly calling me a 'spoilt brat')

Personally, I'd go for the 1st one in that list. Hard sh!t if you're insulted by it.....Am I arsed if you are? :) Even if I once thought that any Evertonian'd be in the wrong, I'd back them up each & every time before some acne-ridden, sad-accented adolescent who makes ridiculous claims that he belongs to something better than we do.

If only there was a "Leave 14 year-old villa fans alone" parody of the 'Leave Britney alone' video on youtube that I could post in reply to you.......

14 year old villa fans are infallible, Davek. They've won more trophies(?) - that makes them bigger & better than us.....Whether it's true or not - Nothing, but NOTHING else matters. You're a kopite if you think OR say any differently - right, @Moomin?

There - I've said me piece. Another vodka & then time to hit the sack...........Night, folks.

I don't know how to respond to this.

What is NOWTY? Danny Dyer saying???
I think you need to step away from here.
Night night fella.

The definitive answer based on each club's official website:

Everton trophies: http://www.evertonfc.com/content/history/honours-and-records

9 Division One titles
5 FA Cups
1 European Cup Winners Cup

9 Charity Shields (1 shared but it's included as a win)
1 Division Two league title
3 FA Youth Cups
1 FA Academy League winners

Total: 29.

Aston Villa trophies: http://www.avfc.co.uk/page/HistoryHonours

1 European Cup
1 European Super Cup
1 Intertoto Cup
7 Division One titles
2 Division Two titles
1 Division Three title
7 FA Cups
5 League Cups

1 Charity Shield
3 FA Youth Cups

Total: 29.

It's equal, only if you include their Division 3 title.

Personally I'd only count winning domestic leagues and cups and trophies from European competitions - the ones in bold.

Which would make the totals:

Everton - 15

Villa - 20

There's not much between us though in reality.

I would like to say that my corn when it comes to Aston Villa is the elitist of corn.

The rest of you aren't even in my league.

That includes @chicomelt

Talk about manipulating facts to suit a schoolboy argument

Youth Cups, Charity Shields.....FFS.

Is there a person on this board would not rather have a European Cup and 5 League Cup triumphs on our Honours List than a dozen Charity Shields......

Personally I'd only count winning domestic leagues and cups and trophies from European competitions - the ones in bold.

Which would make the totals:

Everton - 15

Villa - 20

If we're going to do the whole measuring contest thing, I don't mind counting Charity Shields and Super Cups. Makes league titles, FA Cup, and European trophies count for more than the League Cup. Which makes sense. They're bigger competitions.

But counting youth cups and lower level titles. Lol.

The reason Villa don't seem like a bit club to me is that I started watching games in 1984, just after Villa had a period of success, so In the last 30+ years all I can recall from them is a couple of league cups (?) and mid-table finishes although that probably isn't too accurate. They've just never made an impression on me, but if I'd started watching 5 years earlier then they probably would. Sounds a bit solipsistic, but a list of trophies they've won in the last 100+ years is pretty meaningless to me.

I don't know how to respond to this.

Well, of course you: "don't know how to respond" - It's what's known as a 'home truth' , you've patently demonstrated your penchant for 14y.o. boys, ducky. :bye:

Here y'are - just for you.

http://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/nowty

nowty (ˈnaʊtɪ
redspeaker.gif
)

Definitions
adjective
Word forms: nowtier, nowtiest
  1. (Northern England, dialect) bad-tempered
  2. Not commonly used by danny dyer, despite what some nonces think.
  3. Something 'grandiose' as opposed to something not quite as good e.g Everton being bigger AND better than villa, or 14y.o. villa fans being better than kopites, or Whistlin' Dixie being miles better than moomin in every way and definitely not being a sexual deviant.
Hope that clears things up ;)
