The EU deal

It'll take a whole 5 years for any exit to actually go into effect. So anyone who'll die in the next 5 years are voting for stuff that will never effect them. Not right.

I want the guys there at the polling stations checking your blood pressure.

That's me out then......

Again perfectly rational. After all the Australian & Canadian points based systems for immigration also include health checks. Might as well start as you mean to go on.

got mine about two weeks ago pete.
you know these workers rights the EU are protecting, ?
why are the French, Greek, Spanish ect, seeing there rights for a decent life, wage, pension, job protection from redudancy, being taken away or already gone if its such a bastion of workers rights.
Because more regulation doesn't equals better standard of life. In many cases it's the opposite.

Low employment rate equals better standard of life.

Yes spot on we don't want it to be the international health service with no contributions at the point of service do we?
Which it isn't. Not even if you stick to just EU supposed 'Health Tourism'. And with ever further clamping down on those who do abuse the system there is less and less cause for concern.

More irrational thought.
Look at the difference between the UK now and the UK 40 years ago. Is it really that irrational?

40 years ago my dad was able to buy a house at 30 years old doctors couldn't afford at the same age today. We had decent pensions, free university, then there's the danger to the NHS etc

40 years is a long time.

Stop free movement - those who enter on a points system take health insurance just like you would if you wanted to go to the USA!

A quote from one of the Uk union leaders....

The Today programme interviewed Mick Cash, general secretary of the RMT transport union. He said his union was opposed to EU membership because it did not think EU policies favoured workers. He told the programme:

What worries me about the debate about Europe is that everything’s about “we’d be worse off if we leave”, not better off if we stay in. And the reality is that we as a trade union have opposed being members of the EU since 1979 because we don’t think workers are benefiting from it, and what we’re seeing today with privatisations, with deregulations, the fact that you’ve got a situation where in France and Belgium as we speak workers are protesting because they’re under attack, where in Greece and Spain 50% of young people – 50% of young people – are unemployed - the EU isn’t working for us. It isn’t working for ordinary people.......

Sorry but even if you were on holiday in the USA uninsured they would make you put your cred card in a machine before looking at you over here in the UK we are seen as the house of plenty!
Can you find me some figures which show that we are a house of plenty, because those that I have would suggest otherwise. If you could factor in the cost to other health providers across the EU, from looking after UK citizens it would be most useful.

And btw, holding the US up as an example of how we should run healthcare, during an argument where you are trying to convince people to leave, really isn't doing your side any favours.
