The EU deal

Once again, I feel quite frustrated by Corbyn. Being a staunch Labour lad, I was quite pleased and thoroughly optimistic during his appointment last year.

Subsequently, he has left me feeling terrifically underwhelmed on more than one occasion thus far and I'm quite sure - if he remains - we'll not see a proper Labour opposition during the next General Election. He has remained passive on various issues wherein I believe he should express some opinion, but instead he fades into the wallpaper and provides little assurance that he has the spine or the aptitude to take on the bigger issues...

I believe we will be able to survive as an entity in our own right - economically. The slim buffer (albeit undemocratic) above our government, at the moment, gives me some comfort. Why? Works right, human rights, employment law, maternity etc. Just imagine if some nutter (Boris) got their hands on those issues with no protection from the EU. Then we'd be screwed.

You see I understand your concern for workers rights etc. And I share those concerns, but for me it should for the British parliament to decide. Whichever party is elected by the people should be able to carry out whatever is in their manifesto. If a Tory government decimated fundamental rights and the people did not like this, they could vote in the likes of Jeremy Corbyn to implement his idea of 'rights'.

----------

As a side note: Boris made the comment that the EU has the aim of creating a United States of Europe (which I believe is true) he thrown Hitler into the conversation to sensationalize so that the media would talk about it. I personally can't stand Borris myself, I believe he's an intelligent man pretending to be a fool (very dangerous).

You just cannot stop putting the 'take it or leave it option' out there can you. We are a Sovereign nation with a permanent seat on the UN, with a right to veto anything that the EU may politically want in the future. We are the 5th largest economy and the 2nd largest contributor to NATO resources. We are 1 of only 2 nuclear powers in Europe. We are members of the Commonwealth and will have an option to trade with anyone. We buy more from the EU than they do from us....but you seem to think that we will be led by some veto from one of these other 27 countries into a 'take it or leave it deal'........again, good luck with that......
What the hell has being a nuclear power got to do with things? Sounds like you'd be happy to go down the Russian route of spitting the dummy out when it looks like we might get everything our way.
It maybe needs pointing out that the EU also has the option to open up to trade with pretty much anyone. It's not us or no one.

Being a nuclear power brings responsibilities and is also an additional bargaining tool, even if unspoken......it is better to have the UK with you than against you......

I see Corbyn has rubbished Osbourne's prediction of a post Brexit recession. If two of the Remain camps big hitters can't even agree amongst themselves why should we trust their reasoning for staying in?

There is a reason why the Remain camp is being funded by Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley. It ain't for the man in the street that's for sure.

Quite ironic really that the Remain campaign is being funded by the big US investment banks that were the catalyst for the 2008 credit crunch that nearly bankrupted the EU.

I did notice that JPMorgan were acquiring property portfolios when prices were almost at their lows during that period.

Always a tody profit to be made when people are losing their houses. Very magnanimous.

The state of it.

Sell us your cars cheap, we've got nukes.

Ok let me explain. The EU finally becomes a superstate upon UK withdrawal and the EU creates it's own Army. The Eu treats the UK abysmally. Russia demands the return of the Ukraine or the Baltic states. The EU says go away. Russia threatens to destroy a city as an example. France, which has been back in NATO for only the last 7 years, leaves NATO again. The UK takes no interest. What does the Eu now say to Russia........

Corbyn has also said he will veto the TTIP, even though the EU have told him he can't as it's by majority vote.........
