The EU deal

.....I'm on holiday for the referendum but I have applied for a postal vote. I have to say that 'sovereignty' is the main reason I'm voting to stay in. The out campaign say that control over our own laws is a reason to get out but I would be really concerned if this was being managed by a majority government led by Boris Johnson and including the likes of IDS and Goves.

The Social Chapter and Human Rights laws protect many workers in this country and long may that continue.

You have a funny understanding of Sovereignty but it's your vote........it's also quite insulting to our politicians and the voters to believe that we need to be in a European club to have laws to protect workers.......

I would suggest that if it potects workers it is at the expense of depressing wages for the low paid in order that big business increase profit margins and dividends for shareholders.

A Leave vote could also see a rebalancing of the housing market. Higher wages and a chance to get on the property ladder. Win win.

The Remain camp admit that wages are likely to rise on a Leave outcome.

Ok let me explain. The EU finally becomes a superstate upon UK withdrawal and the EU creates it's own Army. The Eu treats the UK abysmally. Russia demands the return of the Ukraine or the Baltic states. The EU says go away. Russia threatens to destroy a city as an example. France, which has been back in NATO for only the last 7 years, leaves NATO again. The UK takes no interest. What does the Eu now say to Russia........
Desperate stuff here Pete. You're whole line of thinking is, we're bigger, and better and stronger than EU, so deal with us on our terms.

....I have a real fear that the rights of individuals will be severely relaxed if Brexit is successful because of the individuals who will surely lead a more right wing government. They hold a majority and Boris is the type they will follow over a cliff. Keeping the generic safety net of Europe is a big factor for me.

Arguing that our government and laws shouldn't be supreme because one distrusts the current government is an irratating argument. One that most would find appalling if said about a Labour government. I don't vote for either parties, but I believe once they are elected they should have the power to enact their wishes. If we disagree we can vote in a different government. Personally, I would also remove the House of Lords.

...I fear the gap between rich and poor will widen so there will be winners and losers in the wages spectre. Personally, I'm in a position where it doesn't matter to me but I do fear for youngsters.

Simple the tories tamper with are rights we vote them out.
why with a small majority would they alienate such a large group of voters it would be political suicide.
The EU isnt the friend of the worker, plenty of evidence to that .
Like I have aready posted a lot of the laws were already predated in the UK and its an insult to the people who fought to get them to think they were just give by the EU or anybody else.

They are already changing the right to strike laws, intend to introduce a new British human rights bill, are carrying out a war against the poor and disabled and people are more concerned about love island

Doubt it. Won't be gidiot either, seeing as he's a major part of remain.

Them divs can't get enough of the bumbling toff boris. It'll be him & probably may in a run-off, is my best guess. Soubry's got ambitions, and looks to be a bit of a thatcherite wannabe; wouldn't surprise me to see her weasel her way into the fold.
I was thinking It might be May or possibly a coalition government if they implode

Will have to beg to differ. I think future generations will be better off outside the EU in the long run.

I was worried about this - But how long do you reckon they'd last? Boris won't get away with the shady dealings he did when Mayor of londinium (Or before - when he promised to give the name of a reporter to another toff what wanted him done in)

IDS was booted out of the tory leadership in record time (Betsygate) He's widely regarded as worse than useless by a fair few in the party, and whatever he has/had on cameron won't be of any use to him anymore

Grayling has bolloxed up the legal system something wicked in such a short time.

Gove is despised by the teachers (Although in fairness as justice minister, he's got to clear grayling's sh1t up at the MoJ)

I tells ya, they're out next election - maybe before, if the old bill find out the tories have fiddled their expenses. ;)
