Biased! Dr Thees Spreckelsen and Professor Martin Seeleib-Kaiser were always going to come to those conclusions about immigration.

Why? surely you can't me making assumptions based on their 'foreign sounding' last names?
the stats show that they are not only better workers than natives
Plus we never paid to educate them
Utter bollards. They have their lazy ones as well. I know - I've witnessed both ends of the spectrum.
Someone with a clicker & clipboard isn't gonna convince me otherwise. It's because people believe this garbage spewed out by the MSM on behalf of the agencies (who probly commission these surveys) that our own workers suffer and see their wages & opportunities limited.
And you don't see a problem with that? Our own education standards are well below those of most EU countries; if we want the best, we should be at the very least giving our own the education they require...Not every UK citizen can afford private education, but it's only them getting the top jobs.
Your reasoning must surely be that we don't need educate our own kids because other countries' kids are good enough when you come across with them sorts of statements. FFS man, this shower o' rats are gonna start to charge kids for their nursing training, but it's ok because we can just ship them in from abroad without us paying for their training...
Not sure how you jumped to this conclusion. I'm simply trying to point out to those who see immigrants as a drain that actually they're not. If anyone thinks that the introduction of well educated migrants into our society is to the detriment of the education of our own, then they need to be asking questions of our government and not of the immigrants. Same applies for housing.

I agree, but the point is that the Government has been (and is) actively encouraging immigration to prevent the Government having to deal fairly with the society that elected them; just look at how they are actively screwing over doctors and nurses in the NHS whilst also desperately recruiting doctors and nurses from overseas.
Without effectively stopping economic immigration it is impossible to see how this would ever change.
They might not be a drain. But there's no denying they're an obstacle. Not every immigrant is better educated than our own. We have our own here that are at least as well/better educated than the best they have to offer; yet I hear things like: "But they work harder" and my blood boils because it simply is not the case.
We have all sorts of (Native) white collar workers on the dole/ in low paid work because of this total BS about johnny foreigners alleged work ethic. And yes - we have well educated immigrants working in starbucks and tescos here....At the expense of our lesser-educated who could easily fill those jobs.
Nevermind the bollox about: "They don't want to do them sorts of jobs; they think it's below them"
Why would you want to stop people moving country, especially if it's to better their life? It's something that millions of Britons enjoy and to even suggest stopping it is absurd and reflective of the kind of totalitarian states we should never seek to emulate.
They don't want to do those kind of jobs. When Petr can engage in several other languages + a better impression of our own language than we can it's perhaps no coincidence that he beats our lot for work
