@the esk is there any evidence even in the slightest that the board are "stealing, hiding away, pocketing" money from the club as other posters have stated or implied? personally think we've just been poorly run. there's a large difference between incompetence and criminal activity
There is an outstanding ethics question as far as I and many others are concerned and surrounds the ownership of Everton...the precise ownership of 23% of it parked offshore.

There are many corporate governance issues Dave that is for sure, especially for a club stylised as the "People's Club"

@USABlue as much as i've argued with Dave on this thread, this is the crux of the issue. And something which is hidden by web of secrets; exactly who is registered as a directors of BCR, something that i doubt we'll ever find out

What are YOU going to do about it?

We'll take our lead from your great example mate

We are passing through another critical milestone in this clubs chapter that affects all blue noses.

In the end all this means to you is point scoring off fellow blue noses.

We don't need to carry the toxic and self damaged...we can afford to leave them behind.

Hahahahaha posted without a hint of irony lol

So the club can afford to ditch multiple pass holders, but needs non match goers like yourself Cribb, to carry it forwards.

Absolute genius

If they were you wouldn't see evidence advertised within the published accounts. What is their motive for holding on this long, why is Earl even interested in owning shares in a football club.

Presuming that the board has the best interests of Everton at heart, I would argue that the directors are multi-millionaires and they hide their personal wealth away offshore to avoid tax. Everton is just one of their investments and it would make no sense to separate it from their other holdings.

I don't think that the board are flogging the family silver and having a jolly in the Caribbean. I think they're trying to move the club forward strategically. Being the lowest spenders in the league during this window, I imagine that we're sitting on maybe £15-20m waiting for the right moment to sign a playmaker. The Stones opportunity has come along and it's too good to turn down. We could add another £30m to our warchest and try to get ourselves a real big hitter. Could we steal a march on City and reunite De Bruyne with his international colleague? Probably not, but we'd start to enter that league.

The difficulty is that Wolfsburg (or any other club) would have a good idea what we've got in the bank and they'd be in an even stronger position because they know that we need to appease the fans with a marquee signing before the close of the window. We could try to throw them off the scent by saying that it's gone to service debt, but then we risk fan unrest. It's a real balancing act.

no idea what earl is doing but think kenwright is just holding on as long as possible as he loves being chairman of his club. its heart over head stuff for him, he should move on and sell though. prehaps for people like Earl its just for the prestige of saying "I own a BPL club"

Some presumption that. 16 years of prior evidence screams from the rooftops it's wrong.

It depends whether you're glass half full or half empty. Now we need a centre back (probably) but other than that the only glaring hole in our side is just behind the striker. We have arguably the two best full backs in the league, once McCarthy gets back to last year's form he will dominate games, Barkley is getting back to his old self, Deulofeu should shine and Lukaku is a monster! We have very few players that I would be willing to drop if we brought somebody new in. We haven't got to this point by accident.

Time for action not Words or planes.

We need to organise a rally for the Chelsea game to start outside the Echo so our "media" can't ignore it that marches onto Goodison.

Let the game kickoff and on the 16th minute, 1 for every year that scrounged has been creaming off the club, walk out downstairs to shows the board and TV media, we won't stand for this for OUR Everton.

Then after the game, lock in!

"You couldn't have it if you did want it," the Queen said. "The rule is, jam to-morrow and jam yesterday – but never jam to-day."
"It must come sometimes to 'jam to-day'," Alice objected.
"No, it can't," said the Queen. "It's jam every other day: to-day isn't any other day, you know."
"I don't understand you," said Alice. "It's dreadfully confusing!"

The first team is okay if onit, the squad is poor

Half the Park End do that anyway once we go one down, but i think a sit in is a really good idea

Nothing will be done, we will bend over and take it deep once more from the board and in 6 months people will start moaning again.
