If the speculation is true that they've got exclusive access to our books, then I think this could be a huge acid for other potential buyers.....a couple of points, the timing of this appears to align with LCC statement to defer their decision until the 'New Year'. Also, although concentration is on this bid I wonder if any other potential buyers are still involved but not as advanced in the process.
I'm not financial expert but on the basis of having 'exclusivity' then I'd expect so, or at least until after the process ends or they negate the deal.@The Esk with the Mail saying an Asian consortium is also interested, would the exclusivity deal between the board and the American consortium rule out talks with them?
Right. They're a small market team with no history of success. I don't think holding that against Moores makes any more sense than criticizing the ownership at Stoke for never winning a title.Aye, but that was as good as it got for them.

If the process does not progress any further, then it may put other potential buyers off with the thought of, 'well what have they seen?'
Yet if they are interested after this period, then it may just catalyse interest from other potential suitors trying to find a gem.
At least we won't be doing a Dear Mr Moores video in 18 months.
If the Asians are seriously interested, this could at least call their bluff and see them make their interest known in publicI'm not financial expert but on the basis of having 'exclusivity' then I'd expect so, or at least until after the process ends or they negate the deal.
Doubt it would stop any informal discussions between the two, but I'm sure it would restrict any further dealings between the two parties.

As the club are still to acknowledge any dealings with this supposed consortium, I doubt they'd want other parties to start publicly show interest. If the Asians are seriously interested, this could at least call their bluff and see them make their interest known in public
it would be if the amount of money that flew into Stoke after the take over, the better and bigger stadium and if Stoke were in a league of only 5 teams. I would be demanding a hell of a lot more success in that situation with stoke!Right. They're a small market team with no history of success. That's if there is actually any genuine interest from Asia. Each time there's talk about offers there's always other interest from 'afar'.
You're confusing divisions with leagues (which is, admittedly, confusing if you haven't grown up with American sports). In the 17 years that Moores owned the Padres, they won their division (a four or five team subset of the league) 4 times, which seems reasonable.it would be if the amount of money that flew into Stoke after the take over, the better and bigger stadium and if Stoke were in a league of only 5 teams.
