The only approach that will succeed (without huge collateral damage) is to keep stating facts, offering the solutions, and challenging the media in particular on their current perceptions.

All of which has to be done professionally, calmly and constructively.

Reading your and RaleighBlue's posts have definitely changed my stance on this but is it realistically possible in the sphere of being a football fan ?

I really hope it can happen but emotions always overrule calm debate . All I want is my beloved to be a giant again but I fear the only way to do it is by the steps you and RaleighBlue suggest and that has to be started by the club. That's the only way it can happen and it's a big ask.

All for people having their opinions but when some of our fans simply can't take the facts and digest them what chance have you got? Some simply don't want to know but are having a go at anyone telling them otherwise. The facts are there to be seen, from
A business point of view the facts are staggering it's amazing it hasn't got more press....

It won't hit home to them
Until we are relegated.... Then unfortunately we will have to tell them... We told you so

So sad, but so true... people seemed blinded or just plain dim, and unable to see the wood for the trees. it's there in black and white, its being put out there for us to see, yet some still come out with "be careful what you wish for". Well i couldn't wish for anything worse than what we have right now.

Blackpool. This statement is untrue and hyperbolic.

People can see the forest through the trees. It's important not to hit them with a tree for that though to take the analogy too far. Point is, bemoaning the other supporters will not convert them to your side. Explain - clearly and reasonably without veering into emotional attacks and conjecture - your position and you will get through.

The evidence IS there. It IS clear that this board needs to change or be replaced for Everton to grow. Use the evidence to explain the position to those that are interested and don't currently have all of the info presented before them in an effective manner.

I fully agree but how do you propose these ideas and facts to people who want the info who don't frequent forums like this ? B.U can't even manage to put a simple quote out there without being deluged in a river of "Kopite" insults .

Social media is a Joke . As I said before ,it has to be instigated by the club and they won't do it while they are sitting pretty and the only way to change that is for a majority of the fans to openly question the club by..... Getting a calm and intelligent protest going .

Back to original step. Sigh.

Oh, I dunno. Someone with time on their hands could sort out the accounts, and write down the other clear failings of the board. Get someone with UX experience to assist in the design of a webpage. Host the page with a clear a focused target. Then push that webpage to various Everton and media outlets. Here, social media, elsewhere. Engage with detractors, but do it with respect.

Do the media's work for them. Get enough page views and likes and the media will begin to pick up on it. Let it grow organically from there. The club are obviously not going to present evidence of their own failings. It is up to an independent group to rationally expose the problems and outline a plan to address them. If that is rational enough, clear enough, and can get enough exposure...things will sort themselves out.

EDIT:
As for the Blue Union: I have no horse in that race...I honestly don't even know much about that race. I'm American and started following the club in '09, so I don't get a lot of exposure to them. That said, there seems to be blood in that water - they are not likely to be able to be the group that handles this due to whatever caused the friction in the past. But the failings of the past are lessons to the present.

The club will likely lash back at whatever starts this. It's important to keep it completely provable, sourceable and verifiable so they have less ammunition.

I feel a bit more optimistic reading that and it really does sound viable . I honestly thought the protest groups had the start of it a few weeks ago but it fizzled out . I honestly thought it was B.U's reputation proceeding them but maybe it was the crude way it was done . They have used all pros previously like Southall and Kendall ( who u-turned recently but that's fine as he can do what he bloody hell wants to as he is Howard Kendall and we love him ) but that didn't work out for them which is strange .

I suppose we can just hope that an unbiased journalist who is ready to take a risk can do an honest and big piece on the situation .

Thanks again , it's great to read some well informed and well put together ideas .

Agree with this. Am happy to contribute to some extent but am very busy at the moment.
Call it Evertonians for change or EFC
