Whether or not I'm better than anything in your eyes is neither here nor there.

Part of the point of that above, which I know you are intelligent enough to realise, was that some of your arguments can equally well be turned around 180 degrees.

For example, according to Sharpy's poll, the same arguments used in your analysis of the Kirkby vote mean that 99% of GOT membership are not interested in any change of the board, since they didn't actually vote for the top option...

I really don't have any problem with people on here disagreeing with my opinions, whether it's about team selection, transfers, club management or ground moves. Especially when they are people like Sharpy and Goat, who are passionate about the club and team, both good and bad, on here and have been for years.

That is where I think you personally lose a lot of people (me included):
I have never read anything by you that shows any enjoyment of the team or the club or a match. It's always about the board or snide comments about other Blues ('Kenwright apologists' et al) who don't agree with every one of your viewpoints or manager/players when they come out with something you disapprove of ('ginger prick' et al).

I don't know you so I have no idea why that is. But a change in presentation might lead to better acceptance of your views.

Then you've missed the whole point. I hate seeing Everton medicore. Kenwright cements Everton as a mediocre force. Isn't it logical to continually criticise him and his friends he brought in to make a killing on a stadium deal that never came off?

You're making the mistake here of getting too personal. You and a lot of other people. I have to laugh when you say I dont tolerate other people's opinions. I do. I certainly dont call other posters names or question their 'agenda'.

Take a self critique before you start giving advice to others.

This is bang on.

Its not about being personal Dave- I touched on it earlier, I dont think its even about Everton for you anymore. We dont want to see us mediocre and battling Sunderland for a top half finish but we also have to be realistic.

I want a change, I want Kenwright to sell to someone who has an interest in taking us forward on a global scale, I want a new stadium (whether Goodison is redeveloped or not) I want us to be linked with big names, I want us to be competing at the top of the table.

What I am very cautious about is selling for the sake of selling to some dodgy Indian chicken farmer or an American that has less financial clout than we currently have.

Kenwright out?! Yes please but to some who will benefit the club not set it back.

I think davek and everyone wants that mate.

I think everything comes down to selling price, it has to be reasonable from the club and not prohibitive to the new owners coming in and investing. I do trust that Kenwright won't sell us to a mercenary, I don't trust they'll want a reasonable price.

The obvious fall down here is there actually being someone credible who wants to buy us. For all we want them to sell up, it's for absolute sh*te if there's no buyer.

Yes. And this is why there's continued frustration at no formal deal with a company that specialises in selling clubs - like the one Liverpool used. Employ and pay for a bona fide company like that to sweep the globe for offers they're willing to accept and if there is none then we all know. It's no good Kenwright saying his mate Keith Harris is keeping one eye out. That convinces no one.

Of course, he and the other carpet baggers wont do that because it'd mean them setting a reasonable rate for this point in time for a club with debt + no new stadium. Kenwright and Earl/Green are waiting (again) for another stadium deal to come along some time in the future. It's truly frightening to think how far we'll slip down the pecking order by the time a new stadium is even in the planning stage given the recession we're in.

Conclusion - and the only conclusion to draw - we're sunk as a competitive force for years to come. Most people deep down know this and that's why there's been increased discontent.

Depends how you define competitive mate. We regularly beat the top teams and are more than capable of winning a cup. Problem is, that's pretty crap height of ambitions for Everton, and it's caused by a board who don't put money into the club.

What pisses me off is that beaut Earl, he made it clear he came on board for the stadium move. Now that's not on were reduced to being a mere part of his portfolio, an investment that he doesn't contribute to or grow and only wants to make a substantial profit off.

Maybe, just maybe, if we get a run through like Portsmouth had a couple of years back and a fair wind behind us - Everton can win a cup. Competitive though? We can beat a big team, no question. We're not competitive for a CL place though - and the EL will just **** up a season for a thin squad like ours.

The question over Earl/Green is being pressed onto the agenda but nobody in the media wants to ask it. Look at Prentice the other day - even his apology/climbdown wouldnt venture into the territory he was being asked to by his critics. Everyone keeps it at Kenwright level because that avoids the grubby undergrowth regarding control and why this club isn't being formally put up for sale. Kenwright gets it in the neck from me on that score because he signed us up to these people - to keep a foothold at the club himself he's supped with the devil and now he cant move an inch without there say so even if he wanted to (which I have my doubts about anyway, because Kenwright will want a ****ing good screw out of Everton when he comes to sell up - regardless of all his Dave Hickson and boys pen shite - and Green will drive a hard bargain ensuring he, Woods and Kenwright walk away with a nice little drink plus their initial share stake).

The club is a cesspit behind the scenes. Anyone who doesn't grasp that by now are pretty much brain dead.

It didn't even take you a few hours:
Anyone with a memory or the interest can also find multiple similar instances in the last couple of weeks.

That's not personal, it's generic.

Is there any other nuances of the English language I can help you with this afternoon?

So you can just lob insults around and then call them generic? Anyone who doesn't agree with you is brain-dead? Or a knobhead? Or a Kenwright apologist?

Well, at least you gave me a smile with that one, davek!

In all seriousness, I actually agree with you, to a degree. Areas that I do know something about are run in a I won't say incompetent but less than optimum manner. So I think there is a lot of room for improvement. And I've heard other people say similar things about areas that they are intimately familiar with.

However, on the other hand, my opinion is that the Academy has been run excellently under Ray Hall and the changes with Finch Farm and the improvements made in pre-season have been welcome. I also think the first team operation under Moyes is a very tightly-run one. And, in my opinion, a successful one, given the constraints they have to work under.

To be perfectly honest, I also don't think that a number of respected staff or players would stay if conditions were as you describe them.

So no, overall, I don't think that the club is 'a cesspool' behind the scenes. That makes me, in your eyes, brain-dead. I appreciate the compliment.

I said I dont use personal insults. I was precise, I dont.

What do they care? They're on a kings ransom in wages. They're not concerned about whether the club is sold or not as long as that mega monthly wage bill goes into the bank.

None of them care. Take Cahill for instance. He comes out with 'we're building somenthing great here' line this week. Can you credit that? Building something great? Now, unless he was talking about three coffins for kenwright, Woods and Earl, he's taking the piss.

None of them are worth a balloon. The supporters are the only ones that care or matter.

Lost a lot of credibility with that comment. Tim Cahill doesnt give a monkeys about Everton- the same Tim Cahill that has the Everton crest tattoo'd onto his arm, that kisses the badge and has given years of loyal service.

Its not even about Everton anymore eh Dave?!
