Proof of how successful we are to the outside world is that we havent been bought despite it being on the market since 1999 (source - last AGM when Kenwright told everyone that he realised from day one he couldnt put money into the club and as such the club was for sale).

The club is overpriced.

I disagree.

150m for a High end Premiership Club with a reasonable worldwide fanbase?

The Rs was sold for 300m, granted they have a much bigger fanbase, but they have the same sort of issues as regards debts and stadia issues. Chelsea was bought for 140m in 2003, with the debt and a rubbish stadia, 150m is a fair price IMO.

What we need to consider is that Bill owns a smallish percentage of shares, so whilst it would be lovely if he "gave" the Club away at a reduced rate, im pretty sure the vultures hes climbed into bed with want a massive return on their "investment".

The RS at £300 million was a knock down price to avoid administration. This is why to some extent the Yanks Mk 2can be seen to be spending a bit on transfers and stupid money to Jaws. Its the money they saved in the firesale when they bought the RS.

agree to an extent but I think like housing prices right now its okay charging what is perceived to be a "reasonable" price but if someone is unwilling to spend to pay that you have to accept a lower offer

Totally agree, the other Yanks were looking at around 500m for a sale.

Taking into account what is happening at Hull and Cardiff perhaps we should be careful what we wish for. Also can you imagine what will happen when Chelsea and Citeh are abandoned by there sugar daddies

Martinez works his miracles = Kenwright is an acceptable *owner*/chairman.

Some bellend called Andy rang up Talksport earlier to say what a great job the board and executive staff at Everton are doing on a shoestring budget, particularly Robert Elstone. No explanation of how the board can take the credit for the on the field results though, or the negative spend they gave Martinez in his first window.

Where's this 150mil come from that everyone is quoting?
Has something come out since Collymore was told by the club it was 120? Not that it isn't a very high price for a debt riddled club, just wondering if I missed something.

How can people miss how little is being spent each summer?
That being said, this summer's neg spend was more down to Fellaini leaving last minute than any Chairman's desing, we can fume about that throughout the Jan window though if we don't spend at the very very least 13mil.

So *Andy* rings in to praise the board and the club officers for working so well under difficult circumstances - on the tight budget that they are responsible for making so tight in the first place?

This keeps getting corrected but it seems no one is listening.

The Fellaini money is already gone. It's been broken down in squillions of posts.

roughly:

fella/vic = 33m
less

martinez comp = 2m
Robles = 3m
McCarthy = 13m
Kone = 5m
Loan fees and wages = 10m
___
0m

Yes, we save on Fella's wages and Vic's wages, but we added 7 players to the squad (the 2 wiganites who never play, Kone, Lukaku, Barry, Macca, Del). The loan fees and wages of our 3 loanees are thus an added expense.

byebye Fellaini money, we barely knew ya.
