...create a stadium that would provide for the “most atmospheric home-end in world football”.

That's a bold statement from people who cant build a lean-to annexe.

They're almost beyond parody.

After 2 failed new ground projects I,d rather the CEO spent the one and half days getting the players in for this transfer window.

Correct.

Imagine the day and a half:

Elstone: "Joe, any chance of some land for free?"

Joe Anderson: "Ha Ha Ha Ha ha"

Elstone: "Cheers".

Elstone: "Any chance of a word with Mr Whittaker about a new Everton stad..."

Peel Holdings: "Ha Ha Ha Ha ha"

Elstone: "Cheers".

That's because no local authority or private developer will touch Everton with a ****ty stick after two spectacular failures.

So you can say definitively that this line is a total lie from Elstone then can you Dave?

Mr Elstone described the current work as a ‘phenomenally exciting scheme’ with council buy-in and providing a significant amount of regeneration in Liverpool.

It's a matter of the council saying: "yeah, yeah, if you can do this that and the other come back to us and we'll talk about a deal concerning land and local authority partnership".

And it also has to be played that way now because of the EU investigations of public owned land going to private ownership in the shape of football clubs.
