You can mention Robert Earl if you like....Bill wanted someone to buy Greggs shares, Green probably introduced him to Earl( I suspect, truthfully, that Bill may have already known of Earl, through Earls father). Bill then 'sold' the DK 'show' to Earl, in particular the retail opportunity, and Earl bought in. When DK was binned, Earl lost all interest and simply wants as much profit on his investment as he can get. Earl could actually be the stumbling block when we talk about the club being sold. In the end he'll only get whatever a buyer is prepared to pay.
