The Everton Board Thread

Non exec just means they sit outside of the corporate structure. As owner, moshiri does that as he isn't an employee.
I thought they had to be independent so that they can be objective in their assessment of strategy etc. If he is making decisions then surely he can’t do that?

Colin Chong is an extremely competent construction leader who will hold the fort until MSP’s approved CEO comes in. He won’t be worse than DBB even if he only has one hour per week for CEO stuff. James Maryniak is a respectable Finance guy who can similarly bridge to a permanent appointment.

If we want a conspiracy theory, it was suggested that DBB and Ingles going might be both a requirement of MSP and also help us negotiate a reduced/suspended outcome with the PL commission by removing those who ‘cooked’ the books and appointed tame auditors.

Bill will only go kicking and screaming. Moshiri will only do it when someone else (MSP) takes the blame.

If for any reason MSP deal does not go through with further Board changes as part of it we really will be in deep trouble. Even if it does go through more money will still be needed to fund the stadium (around £200m) and we will still be in sell to buy mode with cash flow a real issue.

So what are MSP gona do when they rock up?
Well after being advised by Simon Jordan, they’ve been speaking by telephone (Charlie’s angels style) to a mysterious football guru who's had more than 30 years in the business, and he’s advised them only to go to Everton if BK is still on the board.

Make of that want you want…

It’s the money for the team that is the immediate concern. It’s all well and good applying much needed management of wages/running costs etc but without bringing some better players this window, we’re rubber stamping on our relegation.

The stadium delivery can be delayed and it’ll still be a great stadium at the end of it. Improving the team can’t wait.

Who knows. If the rumours of the 2 scousers joining the board are true, it could be argued that MSP are going to do very little.
They're hands on with their investments, can't see them ploughing 160mil into the club and still allowing the disaster that is Mosh and Bill to run it.

They know the club needs root and branch change to start to right the ship.

This board is not the end game by any stretch.

Any wonder I am getting more depressed reading this dialogue on boards and finance etc which is wayyyy above my simple mind. All I want to read is the club have found a way forward, presumably the perpetrators are not idiots, and deserve some encouragement instead of wild calls for their dismissal, removal etc. We all support Everton which should bind us together notwithstanding different views of the way ahead.

We all know MSP will get seats on the board....untill that has been sorted on their side, its a legal requirement to have minimum board members.

NOt sure what people expect right now.
Kenwright going instantly rejuvenates the fan base. Kenwright going is what people expect - it's the only decision to make. You don't keep the guy on who is the one constant for the club's failure.

They've not invested enough to make those changes (yet). I suspect that is why moshiri has installed himself in the board.
