Hardly a shock. Was surprised at the levels of vitriol towards him when it was clear he had no control. All on the owners.

Bill Kenwright was a pauper in the field of premiership club owners but with David Moyes they managed to keep the club well into the top half of the league on shoestring budgets. He knew how to run a club without money because he didn't have it to invest.

Moshiri seemed to think that throwing money at a problem would get it solved and if Usmanov had not been sanctioned maybe he would eventually be right.

Bill Kenwright was a pauper in the field of premiership club owners but with David Moyes they managed to keep the club well into the top half of the league on shoestring budgets. He knew how to run a club without money because he didn't have it to invest.

Moshiri seemed to think that throwing money at a problem would get it solved and if Usmanov had not been sanctioned maybe he would eventually be right.

He didn’t have it to invest but tried to convince us all that he was looking for investment “24/7” but just couldn’t find it. What he meant was he was looking for an investor “24/7” who was dim enough to let him stay in situ. Kenwright doesn’t deserve any praise for what he’s done to this club. He lowered expectations and invested nothing. Fluked it with Moyes and clung onto him for 11 years because it suited him.

I think Billy Liar was all in favour of throwing money at the problem, as long as it was somebody else's money.
