Ok, we've narrowed it down to a competent one I see. What sort of thing would a new CEO offer that would make us play better footy?
One that provides an environment that gives you the tools to do it.
Not scratching around for loans
After needing a forward for nearly a year.
Who knows , I really havnt seen a competent board for about three decades or so?

This is absolutely of course what we want.

The most depressing and alarming thing for me, though, is that I have no idea how one gets appointed.

Who involved with Everton is capable of appointing one, or even capable of appointing someone to do the appointing of the board?
Don't know the answer either mate.
Starts from the top I suppose, why he wanted to keep bill and co I will never know.

Wow, that’s quite a take. Let’s rewind the clock back a couple of years with a competent CEO.

We probably would have grown our commercial revenue considerably, had a better handle on footballing operations. This not being in a place we’re are now constrained by the Premier League and need to identify clubs that we can buy players from via Klarna.

Then we wouldn’t be in a place were we went a full year without a sleeve sponsor, renegade on a statement about ethics for shirt sponsors and not waited 5 years for a DoF to actually start implementing a footballing strategy (with his 120 point plan).

So seeing as all those things were not in place, we have lost hundreds of millions of pounds, removed all quality from the squad and are barely keeping our heads above water

I, seeing the obvious, would like to see someone in place who can properly plan for life in the lower league and maximise the minimal revenue appropriately ensuring that we can survive.

Her head went west when the Usmanov money tap was switched off.

They will rightly hold off for 6 months and get a giant club at a great price.
Absolutely spot on. No billionaire with a brain cell is buying a club that might be about to drop out of the richest league in the world - certainly not for a price Moshiri would want. If the club gets relegated, maybe Moshiri will cut his losses and take the best offer on the table.
